The headphone looks a bit different with the pads and the strap, but I am not sure about model numbers

That cracked me up too.

One thing I really appreciate about BGGAR is that he is brutally honest. Even if I disagree with his opinion, I respect his honesty.

  1. If you don’t want to get 10 pairs of ear pads, you can also just choose 5 pairs for only $25. Click here to order them now!

  2. We have also begun the development for an ultra-high purity upgraded balance cable. We want you to get the full advantage of Helios’ powerful drivers, and a balanced cable is just what you need to experience them! Compared to traditional unbalanced cables, balanced cables have the advantage of extra output voltage from the source device, allowing even more power to drive the diaphragm. Backers can pick up the upgrade balanced cable at a limited offer of only $99 . At checkout, you can choose 2.5 balanced, 3.5 unbalanced, 3.5 balanced, 4.4 balanced or XLR as termination options.

These upgrades were brought about through all of your suggestions, and we can’t wait to hear more from you to make the Helios the ultimate headphone! Please feel free to contact us with any of your ideas anytime.

We are so excited to be part of this journey with all of you, and we can’t wait to get the Helios into your hands!

It’s gonna be an “optional extra” headphone.

As standard, we will include 1 driver, and for the amazing low price of $50, we’ll include the other.

Are they owned by EA? Maybe they’ll have a frequency season pass. $39.99 to own all 20,000.

nah season pass is too generous. its a loot box system with a chance to get any sort of extension on the low end and a chance to get more treble for some reason

And you can pay $49.99 to have an absolute 100% chance of getting some good extension.

“we know our headphones are hot shit, buy a ton of pads and an overpriced cable, hopefully it can make them sound good”

That’s kinda the vibe I’m getting, but who knows lol

With an 87% chance to get a new color for the wires on the driver.

if people are still unhappy after release they come out with a road map

I got the 5 pairs for 25$ i think its a good deal. after my experience with the ZMF headphones a change of pads can mean the world to a headphone. Maybe i could use the pads on other headphones

Yeah kidding aside $25 for 5 pads and $50 for 10 is idiotically good, assuming they’re at least Brainwavz quality (modern Brainwavz, they won’t be HM5 good).

I think you’re better off using higher quality pads. I think they most likely went for quantity over quality here lol.

Well judging from the quality of the stock pads i think it will be alright. besides 25$ isnt that much. especially for 5 pairs

its a great deal especially if the pads themselves are good otherwise they could just be cheap chinese pads from ali express that they bought bulk

I added the 10-pack. I’m expecting to get what I pay for: 10 pairs of Chinese $5 pads, likely all the same construction but in different colors.

I need some extra pads anyway.

Seriously though, if it’s anything beyond that, I consider it a win. Set expectations low.

Sounds nitpicky and audio nerdly. he says it sounds good with one breath, then disparages it while looking at a frequency chart with another. I’ll go with Zeos review.

Sounds kinda similar to what badguygoodaudioreviews was saying. Honestly what zeos was saying started seeming to good to be true. They may still be decent for 129 but I dunno. I ended up backing out and being refunded.

At first I was like 130 isn’t much to try them, but then I thought, well that’s 130 towards any other pair that I actually want. And I didn’t feel that excited I feel waiting for a pair for 5 months on mass drop ha. Also the 5 for 25 and 10 for 50 pads deterred me a bit too. I thought, if they can sell pads for 5 bucks a pad it tells the quality that they are aiming for.

Last, I figured I’d just wait to see if they are actually good. I see them retailing for 200 for a very short period and then going right back to 130 or less. Maybe I’m just skeptical or I just own too many things that will outperform these that even if they do sound like 200 or 250 dollar pairs for 130, it means that anything I have will likely be better and they’ll probably just sit looking pretty instead of being enjoyed.
