For what you seem to want, yeah it seems like one of the best options for you besides the k371 (which isn’t viable for you apparently)

300-1000 bucks I want open back, preferably planar (altho I heard the Elex is really good) preferably with subbass extension good soundstage no harsh treble
By harsh treble i mean the region of 4-6k or 10-15k being boosted or if the 7-10k region is boosted ALOT

That gives you a fair amount of options, something like the lcd x or lcd 2

I mean the Edition XX seems like an endgame to me, requires basically no EQ, has bass extension no harsh treble has big soundstage the mids are not recessed from what I’ve seen
I learned the meaning of content. because of the nonexistense of end game cause no matter how much money you thow shit just manages to get better
Mids are slightly recessed but not to a large amount, less than the 4xx

well not only that as a person that stays in the midrange of any hobby Im take part of certain price points just actually get better like years ago we didn’t get the joy that are things like takstar pro 82’s, blons , tin t2’s hd 58x’s. and I expect improvemnts for the same amoount of cash over the years as a result of other price points getting better
