I think it is for some, and not for others. Also it’s fun to start from the bottom and work your way up, can really let you appreciate the higher end stuff imo. One you get some experience, you will just know if it’s worthwhile for you or not

Lol, sometimes it does happen, I know a few people who just sold everything for the 650 with a nice amp lol. If you find your preference it might not make sense to upgrade
I mean if I could have the sound of the 58x with a big soundstage and subbass but subbass i can EQ or boost or whatever if needed, that’s it! what more can you want
Literally Sennheiser needs to make the 58x or 600 series sound with the soundstage of the 800/800S

Well I mean I would take some of my other higher end headphones over the 58x for sure, but I still keep it around for a backup at work
Also the hd660s does exist as well, which is just an upgraded 58x essentially
Ok I am gonna be that guy and say that the 660s measures like a worst 58x so why bother
It’s got the more refined signature (but they sound pretty close), better detail, better soundstage, and better imaging, just an overall upgrade sound wise
But how it legit measures exactly I am not exagerating exactly like a 58x but with less subbass
Yeah, it’s got a very similar tuning, that’s why the 58x is such a good value imo along with the other technical aspects. Also just because something has less bass doesn’t mean it’s worse
This is a bit off topic but I think beyerdynamics look really cool, too bad I am not a fan of the sound signature xD

They are super comfy imo and built like a tank, just a tried and true design

THREAD REVIVED!
So Zeos discord told me many times that the 58X are trash compared to the 6XX cuz the driver is so much better in the 6XX so the detail is much better and whatnot
Also that the shipping and taxes and all that jazz will be really expensive since im EU, like more than they say on the Drop site when you buy something.
Now idk what to do should I just forget about the 58X, and just get a K371 and then get a expensive open back ?
