i figured out the reason theyāre special. itās absolute presence. itās an absolute presence that just cannot be ignored. i got sucked into this weird michael jackson, wham!, kenny loggins, george michael, a-ha playlist today and it was just epic in size. the more fun and punchy the song the better with all these songs and the stage size was just flawless with all of them. never really thought the he6se v2 has big stage but itās sounding appropriately sized for this playlist basically without fault. it never exaggerates, it just puts it out there as what it is.
Phil Collins stereotypical āin the air tonightā (i know itās meme status) is holy shit good with my current setup and I havenāt listened to this song in a long time on any of my serious gear and itās hilarious.

What DAC do you use?
So Iām currently only using a gustard x16 but iām using a douk u2 pro through i2s and the difference between how the gustard performs through usb and the i2s from the douk is absolutely massive. The clarity and detail improvement is massive. I wouldnāt recommend the x16 if you donāt get at least that douk reclocker to use it. Without it, the x16 was run of the mill with the rest of the crowd but had a nice timbre to it that I liked but after the i2s connection it pretty much satisfies all of my detail requirements on top of it all. Until I decide to upgrade to a high end DAC Iām happy with it. I really think people could be mind blown by the reclock either over i2s or coax of the u2 pro. Itās not subtle if you have resolving enough headphones with enough power to do them justice.

Search ābalanced XLR sundara cableā on aliexpress and have a field day. Adapter and a 4.4 is a decent option too.
If I had to pick, I would choose the Elex, just because you can drive them off of almost anything.
That HE6se wants some juice.

I would agree. HE6 is way more amp dependent. That said, with the Singxer, I live the HE6.
i heard the elex at canjam, itās tuning is not for me i prefer the he6sev2 sounds much more natural to me

The Jot will certainly do better than the THX AAA.
iād look into an a30 pro with a pair of burson v6 vivid duals swapped into it. lots of power, clean, and the right sound (after the opamp swap) for the he6.

Iāve swapped them into a couple topping amps and itās what they need. Which one or ones you need to change out in the a30 pro, Iām not sure, but I bet itās easy. Would probably need flexible dip8 extenders to make it fit but thatās $5
If you actually ever want to SEE a Jot 2 amp, better try to get one from the used market. I have been waiting going on a month and a half now for even a word from these people and nothing. Iām starting to think itās never going to come now. Just sayin, if you do order get ready for a very long waitā¦

Their current backorder is 6-8 weeks so youāre just at the start of the expected lead time. My experience was that you hear nothing from them unless you make contact.
Iām not making excuses for them, either. I ended up canceling a Modius/Magnius order earlier in the year before they started posting long backorder times.
Oh I reached out. The excuse I got was because I had the audacity to order a Black one and not a Silver one I will wait the 6-8 week minimum and like it. I wasnāt real impressed with that answer but decided to try and wait it out given the component shortage etc. However, I have already passed on 3 different alternate amps trying to be patient. Iāll give it till the end of October and will most likely cancel the order on 11/01 if I donāt hear anything more. Which we all knw I wonāt. So Iāll be shopping for a different amp I suppose. Pretty lame, if you ask me.

I hear you. In my case I think it was for the best. I ended up purchasing a D90 and A90 from a forum user.
