The AQ7 is huge though, so might not even fit you.
In other news, that fh3 I ordered awhile back is finally scheduled to be delivered by the end of today
Look forward to hearing your impressions
I’ve not heard that version…I’ve got the OG and my fav set up for them is my iFi Micro, Forza Audio Works Hybrid cable and Spiral Dot’s this gives them a warmth, a tad better bass response, the mids are like honey almost tube like and the Spirals help keep that treble sparkle, the sound is slightly less etherial but more balanced imho…this set takes small inputs to tweak it’s overall presentation, absolutely love 'em.
I’ve been using the Starfields as my replacement for my RHA MA750’s and it gets everything I throw at it perfectly and smoothly. I listen to Hip-hop, lots of soundtracks, J-pop, J-rock, R&B/Soul, Smooth jazz and pop. Couldn’t be happier with em.
Finally I can give my KZ ZS10 Pro a listen again after a long and man it has been really a while with these in my ear. I still need to wait for the tips for these though but they are coming tomorrow soon.
Anyone have any info on how these sounds like?
Might wanna get it since I need more type E tips anyway lol.
I want it just because it’s an evangelion collab
yeah me too lol. Although I havent seen evangelion, I take it since its anime.
But the reviews on it are a bit worrying:

From what I can understand, it seems to basically be a reskined E500 that is selling for much more (due to the Evangelion stamp). If that is the case it wont sound good…since the E500 sounds really bad for music…
since the E500 sounds really bad for music…
I think you got a lemon or a pair with imbalance (then everything would sound a mess in this case).
The E500 is fine for music if you’re into neutral tuning IMO. Actually, when I demoed them I barely could tell the E500 and E1000 apart, maybe a bit more clarity on E1000 and a bit less warmth lol. They’re using the same driver and basically the same structure so it doesn’t make sense a night and day difference.
Also IMO, the binaural tuning is just a gimmick marketing, unless someone can explain why it’s better for such thing since the FR is basically the same as the E1K.
I do hope that is the case. I have seen others mention that the imaging is bad so I am wondering how bad the QC on it is.
the hardest part is picking the perfect IEM
no such thing as perfect in this hobby
I’m a fan of it. Think it’s to help identify R/L.
how about optimal… having the best i could get for under 150 for the sound i like (spotify playlist)
That’s doable for sure, but you will know your own ears best. Even if I think a set pairs incredible well with a specific genre, you might not agree. The most important part is to try yourself because after all we all hear differently.
I would say a good all rounder pair that I’ve been enjoying is the Moondrop Starfield, it should work pretty well for most of the stuff in that playlist. But it’s harman tuned and that’s not everybody’s preference so again the best way to figure this stuff out is to actually buy and try for yourself
i’ve just mostly been confused by things like tier lists because of a lot of them saying stuff like shuoer tape or fiio EH3 or shozy 1.1 or etc but i just want a mix of detail, impact, and texture
Don’t ever take tier lists seriously period.
This hobby is too subjective and personal to rely on somebody else’s preferences. Tier lists can be fun to check out or put together but that’s it, just fun. What you really need is to just take the plunge and form your own experiences without that you can’t even determine if the person who made the list aligns with your own taste and preferences in the first place, and even then you might just not hear the same as them…
I really don’t care for ranking lists if you haven’t noticed haha
