Personally i dont have that issue. On the other side the only BA bass i’ve heard were the U12T, Meteor, Sa6 OG and STORM.
I had the opportunity to listen to the SE a couple of months ago. If i didnt know I would not categorize them as BA bass. But we all have our preferences!
I find DD’s to have an overall better bass timbre and the decay more natural, but again this’s just my personal preference and findings, everyone hears things differently, have different libraries and expectations.
I’d agree. Not sure why, but DD transducers just have more natural timbre (after tuning of course). The earbuds I own reproduce sound very very realistically - almost like in-person listening.
Thankfully there’s only time I’ve heard someone mentioning the ranking system, but unthankfully an awful case… someone was trying to “pull rank” on why their price was fine and someone should be glad to buy from them or something mad like that.
Agree. Do not think people care about the ranking in head-fi, don’t mean anything. As you say people can post lots of random shit to get it in a short amount of time.
Better to look at people post/like ratio as it shows if what they post are relevant or not.
Probably right, I know many that get free review units or tour IEMs. All of them are long term users, never been in that position myself. And most often every set they get they talk good about.
Only free stuff I have been sent is a Venture Electronic earbud kit. So I guess in a way I have now, but this is due to my good friend arranged for Wild Lee to send to me.
What if I have say the Kinda Lava (EQ-ed to the originally targeted sound) and the Mahina, would you think I’d find it a bit redundant? One thing that attracts me to the Meteor is the form factor, I’ve got smaller ears and love the fit of the Kinda Lava more than the Mahina and Mangird Tea which both have the same general shape.
