My exact use of HeadFi is this 
youâre so right, Jay. I also like to peruse around the Discovery thread for obscure things and especially the earbud thread - I found that those guys are actually a good group of dudes and actually insightful and welcoming. The same canât be said for the rest of the site tho.

Sorry to derail the current topic but I need to say a public thank you to my dear friends that Iâve been fortunate enough to get to know over the last few months.
This site has been something of a safe haven for me for a little over a year now and Iâve gotten the chance to speak to and connect with a few very special guys.

Absolutely top notch gentleman. Theyâve all been amazing friends to me and to show how much love they have in their hearts, they surprised me with a very special gift for my birthday that passed about a week ago. Behold:

Congratulations on the panda. Me and my friends buy eachother audio gifts on birthdays. Itâs usually a box full of KZs or other horrible stuff that we can find. Sometimes it backfires

Thank you, brother! My wife and son put together a special small party for me on the day of my birthday and even did a little surprise when I walked in the door from work. It was very special to say the least and then this just, I wasnât expecting it in the slightest so it was a genuine surprise.
LOL you and your friends are sick! The new KBear/Tri whichever company it is Pecker IEM should be a silly gag gift for this years fiascos

Yeah. I usually gift Kzs and tribrids
Itâs always the intention and not the quality. Last xmas I gave gear worth of 3-4k away to random people on the internet and spent 600usd in post office fees
But nothing beats getting a 16 tuning combination KZ and watch frustration rise. Sometimes it doesnt. I found CCA CRA this way, for instance.

The Letshuoer stuff isnât available here so I canât say anything about them or how they compare against the UP. Some of the similar price range IEMs that I compared the UP against were IE 600, Advar, Excalibur & Mammoth.
Some of the driver qualities cannot be replicated by EQing an IEM to a different IEM target so I donât think it would make it completely redundant.
