I like them a lot honestly. They’re high quality tips. I’d go as far to say that they are a great alternative to Azla Crystal tips for way less. The only difference I’ll note is that they are Latex rather than silicone. Some people have sensitive skin and latex doesn’t work well for them. Regardless I’d say they clean up mid bass a ton while still retaining the impact and clarity up top.

Stop it, @GooberBM let Nymz get hot and heavy all he wants
Exactly that, it tightens up mid bass, reducing any excess bleed. I will say it does seem to my ears at least, reduce overall bass perception but it doesn’t turn the IEMs into a sterile mess either. It’s a nice middle ground imo
I would say they gather as much dust as the crystals, that’s the only unfortunate side effect of the material. It provides a ridiculously good seal and fit security, BUT, it picks up a lot of dust and small fibers
Edit; I misread your comment, the Xlastecs gather far more dust and material imo
Give ‘em a shot, they’re cheap enough to take a chance. I believe they’re about $4 a pair roughly. They run a little small, keep in mind!
Agreed. The only gripe I have with S&S tips is the fit. They enhance mid bass and late treble to my ears quite a bit. Overall, they’re an interesting tip for sure.
It’s not wrong to have a more musical and warm dongle in your collection. I like the RU6 a lot more than Fiio KA3. RU7 should be less warm than RU6, but more “technical”.
Thanks for the reply guys. il go for the dac then. Saw that FC6 is also R2R like Cayin, but it also supports MQA. Is FC6 better choice for me because i use Tidal?
I wish I could get into dongle DACs but I just cant bring myself to do it.I dont like the idea of this big block attached or hanging from my phone. Props to those who can get by with it though cause it does seem like dongle DACs are the best price to performance.
I really like the sound of my Hiby R5 II but the interface can be annoyingly slow, especially if I don’t have offline mode on in Spotify. I will say its easy to avoid with spotify connect. I just use my phone to control spotify on my DAP
Yeah I’d give em a shot if I were you, Cal. They definitely do give a nice bump to the mid bass for sure. But they are longer tips and somewhat flimsy, not to mention they have a cylinder shape rather than a bell like all of the other tips on the market.
Just give me a shot, brother. They’re on Amazon prime as well!
