But they hella pretty, tho
the dilemma
My dude, I don’t think I was in the hobby when this meme first came to light. Can you please explain why the passive driver doesn’t count as driver? Off the top of my head, a passive driver would be more of a resonator I guess?
@VIVIDICI_111 do compare Volume S with Studio4, since both graph remarkably similar, & Studio4 is my fav All BA
Read my posts here:
But TLDR: it is a glorified vent method that they are calling a “passive” driver.
Kinda looks like the Yanyin Carmen but with double the pinna gain, no 4khz bump and a notch @ 7khz instead of 5.5khz
No they literally have the same db variance, nothing between the graphs have changed
Okay, Carmen drops off faster than Meteor up top. Maybe not so similar after all…
Yeah, insane of a rip off, its not even doing anything fancy like the MagicOne. Nor do they show the graph which they did for all the previous models…
The driver selection and design language are so far off of the previous Yume units that I wonder if they got to tinkering around on this one and just figured that the Yume name could help move units? Not sure what it’ll be like, but I’ve heard some 2BA sets that were solid before (Prisma Azul comes to mind). I have to imagine that this could have been $150 or $100 for that setup of drivers, shell and accessories though…
Edit: Then again, maybe they’ve just lost the plot: https://hifigo.com/collections/new-arrival/products/seeaudio-strawberry-π
6BA for $1399, when they had the Neko out what, last year? Another 6BA for $699 with an Effect Cadmus cable included? Nothing in their writeup for the “Strawberry 3.141” sounds like anything but flowery audiophile speak to justify that price.
Yikes
Seeaudio can’t SEE where they’re going
…off a cliff
How is Moondrop Meteor? I assume you got it?
Haven’t shipped yet lol
