Dam ok, send them on tour would love to A/B them with the SA6U
Will do, lol
- Pandas - Dem Timbre
- Tea 2 - I love vocal sets
- XBA N3 - Midbass love
- Fan 2 - Balanced
- Blon-03 - I really really like to put my B2Dusk on top 5 but I can’t stand the recessed vocals and note thinness anymore (at least Blon 03 has nice bass). I think RSV poisoned my ears into liking forward vocals much
RSV is da goat - great list
I haven’t even heard all of the sets I could expect to infiltrate this list and I already have to consider revisiting it lol
QUINTETT review out
Great review man! What would be your choice: Studio4, p8 or Quintet? i want accurate natural tonality/timbre, high details and balanced overall sound signature? I am leaning towards Studio4. Would like your take on it. Thanks
If you have the cash then Studio 4, if not Quintet is fine if you can overlook the timbre
Yeah I don’t like metallic highs, Hmm, I have Heyday and enjoy a lot. EA500 is another one I truly love, especially with retuned black nozzle, where I dropped pinna gain by 2.5 db and it matches studio4 pinna gain.
Time to sell 41t and PR2 to help fund Studio4.
As usual, great review. It is concise, but contain all the things we need to know.
As for the quintet, it seems like an amazing value given it is 220$ and competes with 300+$ sets!
Ya kinda nuts. A better Hexa imo, but dunno if it’s worth almost 3x the price, but ya. Might be if it wasn’t for the timbre, but that aside stellar release.
@ZeusPro Studio 4s are
I just ordered Studio4! Seems to me it can be the reference neutral IEM. I will be mixing live sound with them, will record and see if the mix translates well on other speakers and neutral headphones. Excited !
Ohhh shoot! Very nice. Enjoy, brother! Make sure to report back some impressions for us
it will likely to sound a bit brighter at upper treble and slightly more boosted in the 1 to 2k region compared to the neutral speakers you are used to, the 8 to 10k dip will most likely be unnoticeable imo due to the higher treble peak.
KARA First impressions:
-Very clean sound
-Beautiful clear vocals
-Lots of air and open staging
-Great instrument layering
-Mid/vocal focused
-Can use more sub-bass, but bass amount is perfect for the tuning
-Missing the last bit of treble detail but still very resolving (P8/Quintet level)
-A more natural sounding Quintet with less treble/bass (not as exciting)
-Upgrade to the Hexa, and I’d take it over the Quintet and P8
That sounds a lot like 41T, but probably better treble performance. I could be okay with that
sounds like a winner!

Fits my library so well
