JAY's audio memes (and reviews/ranking too I guess)

I had such suspicions too

Usually flatter sets would complement better with higher volume due to fletcher munson curve though.

And while 6mm is definitely tiny, with 2 of them they should effectively work like a bigger driver.

Ya flatter sets with equally flat treble yes, like the Explorer, Arcadia and Odyssey, but the 5+2 doesn’t work at high volume because the treble is boosted (and sizzly)

For example if you compare the 5+2 to the Explore which actually scales well - it’s very obvious that the 5+2 is over boosted at higher volumes

2x6mm vs 2x10mm is also not the same - does it hold up vs a single DD? Sure, but it’s noticeably weaker when you compare it to the Dos, Cinco, Hype4, or Tea Pros that are all rocking 2x10mm drivers

Yo guys great news my Deuce finally moved from Customs :joy:

I got this invoice yesterday and paid it finally - been there since the 5th, no email notification or text or nothing, thank you Fat Freq!

P5 is on the way. Will test it against Hype 4

Yes, louder it gets and more bass/treble you perceive while lower volume has more mids. Its why v-shaped sets are good for low volume listeners cuz it complements this just fine.

Cant pay custom fees like that from the web?

I paid from the web via the QR code but I had to wait for the letter to come in with QR code because FatFreq doesn’t update me with :poop:

rip. In Sweden afaik all of the carriers will send you a link that you can pay online and no need to wait for a physical letter lol.

Jay, what do you consider mid level vs high level volume in dB terms? Just curious. Wondering how my listening levels match up with yours

Mid-volume for me is 65-75ish, high volume is 80-90+

at least you aint in Germany. My mom sent me a box full of snacks and stuffs for me worth prolly around 100€ and i had to pay 20€ import fee somehow when it arrives here. Also ofc no online stuff

More or less the same here in Norway as in Sweden. FedEx specifically will move the shipment straight through customs. You get the letter in the mail anywhere between two days to two weeks after the shipment arrives. Most of the others is electronically some way. (App, email).

Honestly I think it’s just FatFreq since most times I get customs via text or email lol
