I want it all. If I do a Bass IEM it has to live and die with bass. All the sub, Warm lower mids, Not Sloppy.
My word right now for the Tuning is “Tight”. Nothing out of place. Fast in all the right places. Breaking in the final retail sets to do the review soon.
Was doing some testing tonight on the first two sets that are Final revision of Defiant. Definitely recommend a softer silicone tip. Had some stiff HiBy tips and they messed with the sound. Dunu SS have been my Go-To but Render are also acceptable.
That’s true! The Green version actually uses seashell material as the base, with a green color layered on top — that’s what gives it that shiny, reflective look.
Here’s Zoe’s description of the sound, and we’re happy with the end result. After going back and forth with the samples, Juzear was finally able to meet his request:
Thanks to the Defiant’s dynamic driver, bass is finely tuned. Delivering impactful and tight low-end with exceptional clarity and control, resulting in minimal distortion compared to other IEMs. The midrange is set as an immersive profile, maintaining a perfect tonal balance between purity and speed while enhancing the presence and staging of both vocals and instruments. The treble profile hinges on a smooth delivery, offering up a naturally crisp clarity without fatigue for an exceptionally enjoyable listening experience
Right now all I am saying is TIGHT… Nothing wonky. Bass is solid but not the main feature. It is a smooth delivery with fast midrange. It sounds way more expensive than $100. Which is fun.
