Yes, what about them?
The room is 20’ tall, 16’ deep and 24’wide. I like to throw the sound, it sounds like we’re at a small club🤓 also, there is a monolith 12”TXH sub, with one port closed re-enforcing the bottom end and providing the full low end which these lack IMO.

Just wondered will it sound better? Zeos said the big ones work better with a “lift” :stuck_out_tongue:

I was thinking about ordering those for my computer since I don’t have speakers for it.

Probably make a night an day difference since they are bookshelf speakers, but I don’t own them so I can’t say for sure, but I do know subs make everything better.

Depends on what you are trying to do, room size, and placement. With the Heresey low end is lighter but in this case it does not matter because a sub is being used to re-enforce it. Also, room is large and a more party like sound was desired so this method was found to move the soundstage way forward into the room to make the atmosphere more intense. Placement makes enough difference to make the effort worthwhile IMO.

I think those would look dope on some nice, large stands:P

Also, Heresy IV is now available

Trying to decide between the sabaj a4 and topping mx3 for my rp400m’s have any of yaw heard these or know anything good or bad about them not normally talked about. The sabaj has a warmer sound and at first I thought it had more soundstage and detail but now the mx3 is sounding about as good. The highs in mx3 were shishing and hissing at first but now the highs sound right and it might be the clearer of the two.

These rp400m’s sound fantastic! I put them on my desktop, the room is medium size and like a hallway Being wide open and it was putting out bass just as well in my small room. These speakers sound so good I bought a r-10sw sub that was suppose to be new from eBay, but it ended up being used so I got my money back and didn’t bother buying another sub.

Looks very promising. Death to soundbars!

I’ve got my Heresy III’s up on stands. Zeos was right about getting them up off the floor…

The sound is affected differently on the HERESY speakers depending on location and placement. I am reinforcing the bottom end of my system with a pair of subs plugged and tuned up higher in the frequency range along with an electronic crossover cutting frequencies below 55hz off from the Heresy’s. The towers i’ve created also have to ability to be rolled forward, back and side to side Which affects Imaging, soundstage, bass output, and depth particularly for different genre’s and allows for best placement depending on the music. The pre-amp i am using also allows for a bypass mode to allow the speakers to be used for HT where the subs are run by the AVR instead of me which yet again changes the SQ and allows for integration to the source. If nothing else this is one of the MOST versatile speakers I have ever used. YMMV, this set-up takes work on my part but offers results that are easily appreciated.

Would love to know more about your experience with the electronic crossover, what when were how. I’ve been thinking about the idea of it and how much of an improvement it would be.

I used to swear by active crossovers in an automobile installations and the efficiency gained not driving small speakers in an area they had no business trying to reproduce. Not much adoption by the industry for in home or high end.

@db_Cooper, The Heresy have a roll off around 50hz, In my room i have found them to sound best when cut off just a bit over that range at about 55hz and reinforced by the subs up to 90hz. The subs are monoprise monolith 12” with a single plug in each of their Dual ports inserted. Depending on how close to the wall the speakers are located the very low bass output can be increased or decreased in relation to the musical genre being played. Heavy rap, techno, EDM, pop, Orchestral etc. require Placement closer to the walls. Blues, jazz, soul, vocals, Indie, Classical, Latin etc. get pulled further into the room, HT movies stay right next to the shelves evenly NO toe in.
Light toe in of the speakers gives me the soundstage and imaging i like, which is actually thrown forward and center by Heresy speakers not behind, with a wide soundstage bubble easily a few feet out to the left and right of the speakers. They disappear easily and make it feel like a band is playing in the room right in front of the couch. Imaging is not as tight as some other speakers i’ve used but nonetheless will allow you to pick out instruments in the air more often than not especially when paired w/ the Glow tube amp and some good NOS tubes i have in it. FYI of course SQ is dependent upon MY ear and preference for certain frequencies and Sound signatures.

I currently use the Parasound P5 as my pre-amp which has a low and high pass x-over built in, i have a secondary Rolls/Bellari crossover that i have used in the past w/ different amplifiers to help me add the subs and high pass bookshelves i’ve integrated into the room for music listening. True high end actively crossed over home speakers are out there if you really want to go that route and have the patience and time and want to do some DIY.

I am very interested in these. Kinda torn between the finish options. Glad the black is smooth and not wood grain, seen it too much and it looks cheap to me now.

Yes actually, i care very much. I push Heresy I’s reinforced with a pair of monolith 12” subs and enjoy them most of the time, i keep a pair of different style towers in reserve for select moments and moods, i would like to hear your impressions, experiences and feelings on your new kit and how they work out for you.
