Klipsch owners thread

They are very nice, def worth a listen :+1:

Heresey will probably be next logical step for me down the line. Cool lookin “little” things  I wish Klipsch would have some other color options too. I get the classic look, but I think red Heresey with black grills would totally be with a 70s vibe. :stuck_out_tongue:

You can always diy a pair. You can get the drivers. Also you could get the light finish, and sand and refinish in the color you like.

Hi guys, I’m looking to join the club!
Someone is selling a pair of R41M near me. Like new, open box for $135 cash money.
Seems too good to be true, I know, but I’m gonna check them out in person tomorrow afternoon.
I guess my main concern is what to look for, besides plugging them in and making sure they turn on and make sound.
And also, if anyone knows how good they are. I’ve seen a couple of reviews that recommend them but I’m coming from a set of entry level edifiers R1280T. Not even the Bluetooth ones lol so anything a bit bigger with more power will no doubt sound like a step up to me. I was about to pull the trigger on the micca rb42’s but the amp I wanted is out of stock so I was looking around and came across these.
Thank you if you made it this far, any advice is really appreciated

do I count? been rocking these bad boys for a little over a decade

interesting that their price point has not changed. One of the first things I got with my first job at best buy. Probably due for an upgrade in the near future

They are actually pretty good, the thx certified ones are not a bad choice for a compact 2.1

Oh, Interesting that they’ve held up well after so long. They were a big bump up for me when I got them enough, that I hadn’t really considered an upgrade until recently now that I’ve gotten more exposure to high end audio. Mine are the THX i for sure remember that being a big selling point at the time.

Yeah the thx ones are just held to a higher standard than the non thx, they don’t actually have any thx things in them

Klipsch actually go on sale often, so it is not out of the ordinary. I would say the upside to Klipsch is how dynamic it is. It is fun and energetic, so I think it will showcase rock, EDM, and pop music very well. The downsides is how bright they can be and it may be hard to hear it in a short session. I didn’t really notice the downsides of mine until I lived with it for a little while.

If you have your heart set, I would not commit to anything and just audition them. Have a good time and an open mind. Don’t think you are getting a huge steal, so don’t feel pressured to jump on them.
Best of luck with your decision!

Also, if you like them, but want to slightly tame the highs, you can do that by implementing a tube amp.

Random - has anyone seen Heresy`s put on stands instead of their weird slightly-tilted up default setup?

Yes, what about them?
The room is 20’ tall, 16’ deep and 24’wide. I like to throw the sound, it sounds like we’re at a small club🤓 also, there is a monolith 12”TXH sub, with one port closed re-enforcing the bottom end and providing the full low end which these lack IMO.

Just wondered will it sound better? Zeos said the big ones work better with a “lift” :stuck_out_tongue:

I was thinking about ordering those for my computer since I don’t have speakers for it.

Probably make a night an day difference since they are bookshelf speakers, but I don’t own them so I can’t say for sure, but I do know subs make everything better.

Depends on what you are trying to do, room size, and placement. With the Heresey low end is lighter but in this case it does not matter because a sub is being used to re-enforce it. Also, room is large and a more party like sound was desired so this method was found to move the soundstage way forward into the room to make the atmosphere more intense. Placement makes enough difference to make the effort worthwhile IMO.

I think those would look dope on some nice, large stands:P

Also, Heresy IV is now available

Trying to decide between the sabaj a4 and topping mx3 for my rp400m’s have any of yaw heard these or know anything good or bad about them not normally talked about. The sabaj has a warmer sound and at first I thought it had more soundstage and detail but now the mx3 is sounding about as good. The highs in mx3 were shishing and hissing at first but now the highs sound right and it might be the clearer of the two.

These rp400m’s sound fantastic! I put them on my desktop, the room is medium size and like a hallway Being wide open and it was putting out bass just as well in my small room. These speakers sound so good I bought a r-10sw sub that was suppose to be new from eBay, but it ended up being used so I got my money back and didn’t bother buying another sub.
