Iā€™m not one to change pads often, so getting new pads is somewhat exciting to me lol

Yes please! If its good Iā€™ll try to snag some when i get a chance from Dekoniā€™s website. Also good stuff with the modsā€¦thats very interesting at 130ā€¦

The 4xx is super solid at itā€™s price, a great deal if you want a planar

As a man of culture I like to have one of each around me LOL. I gave away my LCD2C to my brother so the itch to outright own one is still there and I did like the 560. Regretted selling it after mods, but money is needed to feed the beast.

Itā€™s less power hungry and more manageable than the 560 lol

if you are into modding shit apparently the 4xx does pretty well with them

LOL Iā€™ll be finding out as soon as I can get my pre built, working on a very interesting schematic with my father and if it is up to snuff I will be testing that first.

Pretty nicely, adds a bit of soundstage and a bit of a more natural sound

What price range are you looking in?

Hmm if you wanted something cheaper the little dot mk2 is a good choice. The darkvoice you might want to mod for preamp usage because I think there can be a chance for hum for something

The used vahalla 2 would be pretty sweet

For your chain btw it would be dac >tube pre >energizer. You may have to have a switch after the pre or before the pre so you can use a different amp instead of the energizer. Just a thought, I dont like plugging and unplugging.

So performing the occasional bump for these LOL. They are back on sale again for 400

Iā€™m definitely considering these. Anyone know if theyā€™ve ever dipped under $400 in the US?

Used market possibly, but new this is most likely the lowest they will go. The 95x is an awesome from an estat, and for 400 imo you would be hard pressed to get a stax or other estat that will preform better new or used around this price. Itā€™s pretty sweet

Iā€™m a big fan of buying used, but this seems like an instance that would be better to purchase new, because of the warranty and all. I think Iā€™ve decided to try these instead of upgrading my amp.

Should be a pretty nice experience, hope you enjoy it :+1:

I LOVE my E95X, but I find it really needs a Loki to be perfect.

But the first time you hear one it is very surprising. AND pleasing. :grinning:

Try getting compressed air and blowing in the driver and see if that clears it up, typically that just means there is dust in the driver. Also see if it has to do with the energizer or the headphones

I unplug the headphones and turn off the energiser after each use and itā€™s been months if No problems, I dont even dust cover them really
