It’s a pretty versatile unit, I kinda like it when I want something simple
@M0N, see where your mistake is? You should have speakers in the shower and then the bedroom too, this way your hair is free to be appropriately styled and cared for. Also, the kitchen, yard, and porch are best enjoyed with speakers IMHO not headphones🤗
I have outdoor speakers on my desk that I got for a good price so that’s solved. Also I can hear my 2nd desk setup pretty well from the kitchen so that’s also taken care of.
They my fav outta this bunch. 30is are too dark for me. Ok once your ears adjust but the 75s are good outta the box imo.
I probably won’t prefer them over the 30i lol I lean towards warmth and darkness but I should give them a try based on price and acclaim alone
With a good bass boost they definitely have enough bass and warmth imo. They EQ very well.
I am using my kph30i on my DragonFly Cobalt and off my iPhone 12 Pro Max so understand how you feel, these are are easy to wear and sound great. No shame at all for me.
Haha posted this comment a year ago and I still listen to them occasionally and always enjoy them. Welcome to the forum
The classics never die. Still rockin’ my Porta Pros on a regular basis.
You betcha I’m gonna instantly buy whatever 50th anniversary Porta Pro comes out. MMCX from factory please.
Maybe a 25th anniversary KSC75 too?
Just got my massdrop KSC75’s in and they sound… airy. A lot more open than I expected very nice.
KPH’s haven’t shipped yet so let’s see and wait!
Now that I got all 3 of them. Here is my ranking (all in stock):
Porta Pro << KSC75 < KPH30i
The KSC75 and the KPH30i is library dependent. Thats why I like the KPH30i more.
The Porta pro on the other hand just sounds too bloated and dark to me.
Kph30i sounds the best to me.
Have you tried KSC75 drivers on Porta Pro headband? The headband presses the drivers closer to ears and improves bass.
No I havent and I wont. I hate the porta pro head-band.
I have ordered some parts express headbands though and might try it on the KSC75 and the porta pro (possibly the KPH30i as well, but it doesnt need it I think).
Looking from left to right, this is exactly the order and the modifications in which I like the Koss headphones sonically.
The KSC75 with the Parts Express Headbands and the Yaxi pads is, for me, the clearest and certainly the most precise in terms of sound interpretation.

By the way, the Fiio BTR5 is a congenial delivery partner for all Koss headphones, both in terms of sound and flexibility, this amp is a fantastic match.
If you set the values to 60 ohms and 101bB, you get a wonderful sound.
It’s always fun to see how certain preferences can be so different between people. I agree with your comments on Koss trifecta (although I prefer KSC75 over KPH30i) but I absolutely love Porta Pro headband. It’s light, comfortable, foldable and funky looking. I guess I should add that for some reason it doesn’t pull my hear at all. Maybe that’s why I’m not annoyed by it
Hopefully parts express headband will be a better fit for you. I also ordered it just to see if Porta Pro and KSC75 will sound any different.
Yeah, the porta pro band is going to make me bald lol.
Am I the only one who thinks the clamp on the KPH’s is insane? The shpe of m ear is literally imprinted on the cushions! (grado pads on the way)
Besides that I’m loving them. I wanna mod my KSC’s for MMCX but I’m scared of fucking up xD
