My porta pros stopped working so I put my ksc75s on and wow there’s more low end the clips don’t do them justice.
yeah their awesome on the porta pros headband.
I really wish Koss would enter the over ear open headphone market with a serious offering. the UR40’s are ok but i think they could do a lot better

I feel a little like a crazy person when I hear people shower the KPH30I with all this praise. These are the one headphone I own that I think I actually HATE. The bass is bloated, muddy, and wooly. The highs are nowhere to be found. And I can’t even comment on the mids since I’m still trying to dig them out from under all the bloated bass. The cherry on top of this crap Sunday is the cable. I know that these are $30 headphones but I’m just baffled that Zeos and DMS both seem to love them so it’s not like Zeos just got over excited in his review. Did I somehow get a pair with two identicaly bad divers?

PS the song that made me hate these was Rip and Tear by Mick Gordon from the DOOM (2016) OST. Within the first 10 seconds I was positive I did not like the kph30i. If you love the kph30i maybe try this song out and tell me what you think.

I personally prefer the ksc75, but I also can see why people like the 30i
I am using HD58x and my Koss to go back and forth this sounds better on HD58x no doubt about it.
Differences that I can tell with this song are the soundstage and instrument separation is way better on hd58x and cuz of how much low bass and guitar is going on it feels like you don’t get the highs on the koss. So yeah I can see how if this is the kind of music you enjoy the koss kinda suck for you.

And to be honest they are a good headphone for $30 but they are the only headphones I have that literally CAN’T play a specific kind of music that so happens to be my favorite kind. The Tin T2 are just so much better for me.

I still enjoy there strange charm that I have yet to figure out exactly what it is cuz there is this odd melodiousness that overtakes me when I listen.
Yeah I dislike p1’s and I feel a bit crazy sometimes.
I also think in that price range I would much prefer a t2 for all around listening

thank you, my thoughts EXACTLY. never understood how good bass can be the one factor that outweighs them all, even if you ARE a basshead. I mean, even bassheads like the rest of the frequency spectrum, right?
I’ll take the beautiful sounding KSC75 over these ANY day. the mids on those are spectacular (to my taste)

Does anybody know if you can take the stock pads off these and put them back on? I think I need to clean mine out, there is some hair stuck in them.
You can try I tried to put yaxi porta pro pads on and ended up breaking the clips on the left side

Maybe I could do a full mod with mmcx connectors when I get the chance, and open them up carefully.
