Yeah I feel for him, xD. My cable management from the back panel is not exactly that sophisticated, and it’s not helping you that much when your stock PSU’s cables are stiff, thick and flat. The cables are like the SHP9500’s stock cable but flat, thicker and stiff. Not really a fun experience tbh.
Maaaan, i feel that, i used to have a Thermaltake PSU on my system and it was a nightmare to properly managed them, this Super Flower does seem to help me to some extent, except the Sata cables, which i’m still not happy with how its managed, although it really doesn’t show itself on the front of the system.
Never thought in my life that I will discover a name of a PSU called Super Flower, well there’s Diablotek so this should not be surprising anymore.
P.S: Never ever get a Diablotek PSU, you’re like getting a self-destruct button for your own build.
Meanwhile I’m here holding out for an AMD version of the Framework laptop, particularly if they throw in a dedicated gpu
Super Flower, despite the weird name, is actually a well respected brand, they even manufacture some models for more well known brands such as EVGA.
Mine is a Leadex III, i made sure to install it inverted to show off the stamping lol
I passed on the Framework because I wanted a 17" screen as well as wanting a Ryzen. I ended up getting a Lenovo Legion 5. I’ll probably grab a Surface Laptop Studio when I’m ready to replace my Surface Pro 6…
Speaking of brands that I used to not know crap about but turns out they are not so bad would be Deepcool. Ngl, when I first saw Deepcool I was skeptical for I am used to getting brands that are well-known for most PC builders, until I gave the Assassin 3 a try since a bunch of people told me that it is a very good cpu air cooler for the price, and a good alternative to a Noctua fan.
Turns out they were right and after that I took notice on Deepcool, and they are pretty good to me so far since I bought their TF120S Fan, and man it’s a changer for the temps and more room for my cooler, meaning I can finally close the glass panel. Planning to buy 6 of those for I think I prefer the subtle-lighting route than your typical light show build.
Big fan of Deepcool here!
The red dual tower on my system is the older Assassin II, Deepcool seems to be about as good as Scythe when it comes to cost x benefit, but i think Deepcool finishes their coolers better, they are shinier, with no jagged edges, unlike the Scythes.
Really hope they start selling this model down here, it seems to be pretty good.
Oh, it is the Assassin II, must be rare nowadays to get one since I think they are discontinued. Still a good cooler though, but I think I prefer the Assassin III’s looks even more but that is just me.
Got a pretty sweet deal in this one, it was brand new, sitting on a shelf in the local computer shop, with the AM4 mounting hardware as well, got it for half the price of the Assassin III.
I think i like the cleaner fin design of the 3rd one as well, mine looks a bit too much like an old Thermalright, but they share the wide base with the infamous extra heatpipes that don’t touch the CPU.
I’m fine with my desktop, but it wide be nice to have something portable again. I like the company and wanna give my support, but the current offering just doesn’t quite fit the bill
5600X with Wraith Spire was getting a bit toasty, so I went with something cheap for the time being.
While Arctic is cheap, they are quite good.
Nice you got the Kryonaut as well, might give them a try since I have been using nothing but thermal paste ever since I made my first PC. A good change can be nice, but I just hope those things have the same application as the thermal pastes I have been using.
They make one of the best AIOs available…
It’s quite easy, Thermal Grizzly pastes come with either nozzles or spatulas for spreading.
Arctic is one of the best brands out there and they should not be underestimated tbh. I bought their Arctic MX-4 and my god, the temps I received from those are jsut top-notch cooling despite it being like the Kryonauts. Also their CPU fans are great imo.
If you are already using MX-4, I wouldn’t worry about getting Kryonaut. While I do think Kryonaut is better, and it is what I personally use, you aren’t going to see the kind of differences moving from MX-4 to Kryonaut that you did moving from standard paste to MX-4. I wouldn’t think more than a degree or two C.
Yep, the main advantage in Kyronaut is the consistency of how it performs through a pretty wide range of temps.
