Also I don’t think I will be sticking with the single lighting look for my build for a long time, in fact I am having a plan of me making adjustments of replacing the case fans with non-lighting ones but performance-wise superior.
Honestly that is what the basement is kinda there for as a “cable dungeon” to store all the extra mess. Your already using a proper fan hub to help with the awful mess fan cables can be. Honestly there is not much else you could do.
About the only thing I would do differently is use a comb for the MB and GPU power cables on the front to give them a bit more of a tidy appearance, but the back looks nice.
I’ve never really seen the point in cable management behind the motherboard, except for SATA cables maybe, but I’m more likely to replace an SSD with larger capacity than add another one. As long as you’ve got unrestricted airflow in the front, it really doesn’t matter. You’re not going to keep the unused cables in the PSU box, gathering dust, are you?
All the time. Though to be fair after testing all the components I order custom cables after measuring the length needed to make things easier and I only plug in what is needed.
EVGA finally released the X570 Dark board

AND THEY PUT THE DRIVERS AND MANUAL ON A FLASH DRIVE!!!
Why isn’t this normal yet? ASUS has done this sporadically with some of their highest end boards for, I think 3 years now. They aren’t that expensive, and if you are already being charged $300+ for a motherboard, they don’t have any room to argue about the added cost. Then again, we are just now starting to see fixed IO shields starting to become standard on boards above a certain price point. So who knows how long it will take for them to ditch CD’s in favor of flash drives.
To be fair a lot of the time it just means you get an extra flash drive to use since a lot of times the drivers are out of date if you don’t buy the board relatively early on in it’s life cycle. The IO shield thing is highly annoying though.
They already have combs but yeah I get why you’re saying that is because the way I plug the cables on my motherboard and GPU are not exactly what it is meant to look like, meaning it should look clean and straight, not a janky mess.
Computer Cable Management ?
What cable management… ?
If you have solid case with no window, niet problem. Everything is ok if it’s working.
Im too old for the visual aspect or need fiddle with cables for looks or some social media photos. lol
But a clean case is nice of course. Hobby as any hobby.
Yeah, there are just times I am like “I just want to use my friggin PC, and no one’s going to check my back panel anyway!”. But I think it would be much of a satisfactory feeling when you are able to manage the cables well enough that it gives you a clearance of mind (For me it’s like that, but not for everyone.) and more ease of access to the parts that needs replacement or upgrades.
If only I have a patience of a benevolent god, then I would do whatever the hell I can to get those cable in top-tier looks but alas I am not, for I can be impatient lol.

It’s a little hard to argue with that price… Granted, Newegg has notoriously bad customer service, and you have to use FedEx but the price is kinda hard to argue with if you need a better air cooler and have the space to fit it
Changed my case and added some high airflow fans, the big 140mm at rear moves up to 100cfm of air
Is that a Cougar X5 or is it not? It looks familiar to me since someone suggested me to get the Cougar X5s back then, since they said for the budget it is a pretty good case and you get a lot of airflow.
My Lancool 215 is like that but wish I could’ve gotten the Lancool 2 Mesh instead for it was on sale, and it was stupid of me to get the budget case instead of the higher tier case.
Its an Asus TUF GT501, i was looking for a case with handles (because i actually carry this system around the house) and came across this one and the Cougar Panzer Max G, ended up going for the Asus instead.
Lancools are pretty nice, i just got out of my 1 Digital, my friend has a 2 Mesh, he loves the panels to hide his (poor) cable management lol.
Yeah I feel for him, xD. My cable management from the back panel is not exactly that sophisticated, and it’s not helping you that much when your stock PSU’s cables are stiff, thick and flat. The cables are like the SHP9500’s stock cable but flat, thicker and stiff. Not really a fun experience tbh.
Maaaan, i feel that, i used to have a Thermaltake PSU on my system and it was a nightmare to properly managed them, this Super Flower does seem to help me to some extent, except the Sata cables, which i’m still not happy with how its managed, although it really doesn’t show itself on the front of the system.
Never thought in my life that I will discover a name of a PSU called Super Flower, well there’s Diablotek so this should not be surprising anymore.
P.S: Never ever get a Diablotek PSU, you’re like getting a self-destruct button for your own build.
Meanwhile I’m here holding out for an AMD version of the Framework laptop, particularly if they throw in a dedicated gpu
Super Flower, despite the weird name, is actually a well respected brand, they even manufacture some models for more well known brands such as EVGA.
Mine is a Leadex III, i made sure to install it inverted to show off the stamping lol
