Same, never was a fan too much RGB.
It’s part of the reason i went with the Lian Li fans, the lighting is on the frame not on the fan itself (much more subtle IMO) and the interconnect reduces the amount of cables you need to mange
Yep when it comes to Gamer’s Nexus, there is always a “but”, but be happy when he just says right in the thumbnail that it is impressive, for that is pretty much high-praise from him.
Still have a few parts missing from my parts order during easter, but it looks like it will arrive today (fingers crossed). That would hopefully mean i can get to put together the computer during the weekend. I see that one of the shipments is in two boxes, so with my usual luck one will be delivered today, and the last one nex week…
Ya im not super surprised there, that being said considering its a case mainly for water cooling i really have to give them props, solid performance with air cooling is note worthy.
and a savvy modder could probably replace some of the plastic holding it back with a fine mesh and really get the most out of this case, though most folks getting this case would probably brute force it with lots of water cooling or maybe use PPC fans
The important parts arrived, lacking 1 case fan, but that was mostly ordered to get over the “free freight” limit as it would pay itself and then some by adding it to the order and get free shipping… quite funny that they managed to sendt it in a separate box that did not get here today
Had a mate stop by, and he is very handy with building PC, so to be fair he did most of the work I was more the assistant handing him parts and tools, holding a flashlight to make it easier to build in the “dark case”.
Dont mind the placeholder nvidia 670gtx gfxcard… (not sure what gfxcard i am going to buy yet)
Orange and black (looks more washed out and red’ish on the iphone picture than in real life)
The front is the same orange, but my iphone would not expose the picture right, so it looks very washed out… not so when you see it with your own eyes though…
Now the boring work of setting up windows with all the games, programs and what not to get it to a usable state. When it is more usable, i will probably swap my 1070gtx in my current gaming pc into the new pc until i get a 3070ti or somthing along those lines… Its too late here not to get much done tonight though, and for most of tomorrow i don’t really have time to sit in front of the computer, so its going to take some time, but at least the windows install itself went smoothly and no problems so far (knock on wood).
Congratz
everything looks pretty solid, the NH 15 is a very solid choice
One cosmetic thing - try getting a cable extension for the front fan and routing the cable from behind just to clean it up a bit. i’d suggest putting the 1070 right out of the gate and not mess with the old GPU’s drivers.
Anyway enjoy the build man
P.S i actually ordered a 3070 TI off amazon a few days ago (hasnt shipped yet), hoping it gets here fast enough for me to unload my 2070 Super at a decent price
yeah, and i will have to do some cable management when i install 2 sata ssd drives later too, and currently its without any of the side panels, so there is a bit of work left
Do’h! it was the second cpu fan cable… it was unplugged to easier cable manage a few other cables, and both me and my mate forgot to plug it in again didn’t really think more of it when posting the pictures and answering you earlier, but just checked to see if i could route it another way and it became quite obvious Now you can just about see it but it doesn’t hang from the front any more at least
Not quite computers, but close enough.
Saw this picture on OC3D’s Twitter feed and tried to find anything else like it. Sadly, I haven’t had any luck yet.
Got to install the 3070ti, and get the RGB to somewhat match the rest of the case (all orange). Picture is with the glass door on, so there is a slight reflection, and the color just doesn’t come through on the iphone, much duller than in real life
Only did a quick test with Battlefield V, and it all works at least. Now i need to plan how to get iracing and my other games + my wheel/pedals set up so i can discontinue my old 3770k/1070gtx as the “gaming rig”
That is one thick video card, much thicker than mine. I love the look of your build though for I have a similar lighting, just subtle single lighting but still looks good while functional at the same time.
My current computer is a Razer Blade 15 (2022 version, RTX 3070 ti)
If only that GPU of yours is fully-white, it will make your build even standout imo. Oh well, if it’s a 3070Ti regardless of color, I would still use it anyway.
Ya fully white GPUs are still way overpriced and i got this one for 700$, kinda funny since its almost the exact price i bought my 2070 Super when i bought it ( Jan 2020)
Yeah, mine is a bit oversized, great cooling solution though… think the hightest i have seen the card report is 68c, and i think that is ok for an 3070Ti… thinking of putting something to support it at the end so it doesn’t sag too much over time though
Ya yours looks like it has some weight to it.
Plenty of GPU brackets on amazon for around 15-20$ (some with RGB) i just bought a black one and painted it white
Speaking about PC parts being overpriced, I just saw a collab of ASUS and EVANGELION, my god those Motherboard and GPU just look goddamn good, but alas given that it is a collab it’s so freaking expensive.
It looks cool but aside from being overpriced its a pain in the arse, buying something like that means you can upgrade you have to sell both the MOBO and the GPU together, thats why i never got into full custom cooling, not only is it a huge expense when buying it but reselling that kind of system would be a nightmare
