Let's talk about computers

foosh. not really applicable for audio, but Apple just talked about their new $130 active TB3 cable that lets you get access to everything TB3 has to offer. 40Gbps over TB3…10Gbps over USB C and 8K through it’s DP passthrough.

So, my two RAM sticks had hardware issues last week and I presume that those are now broken therefore making my rig unstable for usage. So these are the RAM sticks that I got as replacement and based on the replies I got, TEAMGROUP does make solid RAM so my purchase of these were the right choice. I was originally looking for a G Skill Trident Z or a Kingston Hyper X Fury, since they were out of stock, I had to settle for these instead.

most RAM has a lifetime warranty. plug them back in, run a memtest 86 at stock speeds and if it reports even one error, file a claim. then you’ll have extra RAM to use on another system or sell.

I mean I did that back then, the previous RAMs that I had were ok there were no errors at first, though it was my mistake in the first place since I did not bought a 16GB RAM kit, for I have bought them separated instead and they are different brands which is not a good idea. Sure they have the same frequency speed of 3000MHz but the issue was their difference in terms of the CAS Latency which might be the reason why I am getting BSODs and instabilities. If they still work though I might give it to my little brothers or just sell it for extra money.

okay, just checking…didn’t want you to lose an opportunity.

Yeah i found out mobos dont have that so kindna annoying when ur mobo slots dies instead of the ram XD

That one is more painful to me than my RAM dying if that happens.

Ive lost 2.5 as the third one only works with 1 of my ram sticks and not the other, Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt haha.

With the bazillion crappy BIOS-versions for X570, I blame the BIOS choosing garbage sub-timings before blaming the memory kit.

Hope you got your replacement for it, sure it sucks but sometimes that will have to do for you to keep on using your PC.

I need a new case and this link pretty much shows the current case I am using, and you can tell it’s a bit obsolete for today’s standards. Though it does make my PC semi-sleeper build or something like that.

Nah still using it haha

Thats not thatt old a case i had a case from 2006 mate and only just upgraded it this year. Antec 900, now got a Cooler Master H500. Its huge but got 2 200mm fans.

TL;DR
MSI is shitty towards reviewers (again).

Just watching intro and in GamersNexus’s classic way he rips MSI a new one in that intro haha. Still watching so see if he rips em anymore haha.

Yeah, was watching that, and couldn’t help but to feel torn, as the B550 and X570 Tomahawk boards are the two I have been looking at getting… They are good boards, but with MSI acting like this? I don’t know that I want to support this kinda behavior.

For me personally MSI is now a last resort.

If helping assembling someones machine and MSI just happen to have the component to fill the gap, I would still recommend an MSI part.

Damn, MSI is good in terms of their computer parts and my best friend highly recommends them to me. Though the downside of MSI is their BIOS because in my opinion, it’s not really that good for it is just outright a mess. Also the fact that they are not really good towards reviewers makes me discouraged to buy products from them anymore if they are going to keep that awful act. Might as well go back to ASUS or any other brand just in case.

Asus lol

and for that I thank you for showing me that they are not any better…welp looks like it’s time to find something besides MSI or ASUS then.
