did u check the voltage? some mobos put ryzen at 1.4 out of box for no fucking reason.
Was more thinking Power9, just to be different https://www.raptorcs.com/content/CP9M36/intro.html
oh shit I forgot they did that. I know asus was specifically got some shit ofor that and shes running asus I’ll check it out on monday when I insteall her new cooler. It was late and I kinda overlooked it
I got a fucking grade a deal on case i bought Cooler master H500 two giant 200mm fans at front and fucking love it. So quiet and pushs loads of air and looks amazing while doing it sadle they basically doubled the price of them now. Got mine for £90, as much as i loved the antec one. This is leagues ahead haha.
Yeah ik asus main for it but also saw that on a msi board when i built a pc with 3600x set it at 1.4+ straight away, u can bet i shoved thaf way down and it runs super cool on stock cooler
Tell me about it. My Asrock Taichi X470 runs 1,34 stock. I’m fairly sure Asrock was one of the offenders when it came to underreporting power draw. But I had such a hard time getting my XMP profiles to even work on anything but default, so after basically trying for a day with different manual settings I just settled on stock. Voltage runs a bit higher than I’d prefer, but temps are fine in my system as I have adequate cooling and airflow in the case.
Still, once I swap from my 2700X build I will probably be a bit more mindful about what mobo and RAM I run. It was hell going with this current setup and finding a workable config, shit would refuse to boot even on manual settings set exactly to XMP profiles. System runs good on auto boost with some minor fan curve tweaking however. Lessons learned I guess.
This is my Seagate External HDD, the adaptor for it to make it use externally got broken so I have decided to dismantle it and make it for internal use instead. Saved me the trouble for buying a new one.
I had the same happen to one of my external drives where the internal adapter failed in some way. In my case, I just bought a USB to SATA adapter and kept on using it like normal.
sigh welp it’s time to throw some of my savings again for that.
I just show mine in my case as and when needed haha. Like when i need to rip my cd collection when i make it bigger have to run case with no sidepanel as CD bays are a thing of the past.
PSA
Jay was doing a video where he gave feedback on his fan’s gaming setups.

This one had me laughing out loud. I don’t think there’s plate underneath the pizza
Jay thinks he’s trolling. I suspect it’s real lol
That looks wierdly familar.
Reminds me of a post-your-setup-thread on TechSyndicate (before the split into L1T and TechSyndicate)
honestly one side of my L shaped desk is basically this but not as bad. 10 hour work days and laziness has got me neglecting desk hygiene
Really? Maybe he did pull it from somewhere then. I updated the link with the time stamp. I encourage you all to watch it lol
Honestly both my home and work desks are pretty too lol. Though I at least trash off of it pretty well
Oh, it is StreetGuru
Yeah, then it definetly is his cave.
That was the most ultimate bait ever. I dont care if u don’t like it or not that is still a well done case and i can appriciate the effort and how clean it looks. Ultimate troll haha
He knows it looks good… He MUST!!!
I’ve been building custom PC’s for about 15 years for myself, friends, family, and an occasional paying customer. Actually my current build hasn’t changed any for about two years or so I think? Been running the same AMD Ryzen 3600 and RX 590 graphics for awhile just because I don’t PC game as much as I used to. Or at least when I do all I really play is Overwatch at 1080P so I’m not pushing it that hard.
At one time I was really hardcore about graphics tech, every time something new came along I had to have it.
Now I’m thinking if I could actually make a nice small power efficient build that may be where I’m headed next. I kind of dig the RX 5600XT for only needing a single power connector for all that GPU horsepower. The Ryzen 3700X is an exciting part, sixteen threads inside of a 65 watt TDP, yes please… I think the most exciting advancements are not necessarily in more horsepower but in the efficiency that you can get it at. I’ve steered away from ITX builds because they look great and would be fun to drag to LAN events, but they were never that practical from a heat dissipation standpoint, and I hate water cooling, hate it, it’s a pain in the ass, and I hate the clicking noise of a pump, it irritates me, so that has always been a bit of an ITX limit for me, but I’m thinking I could do a nice powerful air cooled ITX build now that would not sound like a jet turbine under my desk. Now I have the itch…
Post COVID LAN party anyone?
