gpus are set to come out later this year so I would wait for ththe price droips that come along with gpu releases. otherwise sounds solid. I also have the same sentiment towards AIO water coolers I love custom loops and help my friends plan and build them but they come with their own problems. Im also pretty hardcore for aircooling myself less problems to worry about but aesthetically not as pleasing.
In canada 2080tis are currently going for higher or equivalent to RTX titans due to supply chain problems, according to PC part picker.
I don’t mind a PC build like that, but I would probably do a Fate themed one instead.
Am I the only one that thinks every single Spec series case by corsair is ass? I hate building in them the build quality is sub par and over priced and material quality is kinda garbage especially any plastic used. sorry venting working with one right now and just mad at cable management
Since building in Fractal I don’t miss Corsair cases at all.
Little update on. The over heating cpu. Voltage was fine and with new cooler didn’t go above 56 degrees after an hour stress test. Also noctua coolers are such a pleasure to install. Thank go she had a h700i gave me so much room for me to work in so I didn’t have to take her mobo out of the case.
When corsair enters a market they usually do it in grand fashion. My obsidian cases are great. Heavy and a little outdated but solid boys. With that said my next case will be a phateks most likely. Build quality and aesthetic are there for me. The p600 in that grey will most likely be it.
I generally don’t mind their higher end cases as they have pretty great build quality and build experience is overall pretty pleasant and make things fun with nice thought out features as expected of higher end cases even though compared to some they can be considered over priced. But in a world where we have cheap Chinese brands making decent cases. Where the p350, p300,p400a, a meshify c, and even stuff like the masterbox lite just to name a few. The spec series cases are unacceptable
I’m in a similar boat, I used to actually make money selling custom built PCs back in the day word of mouth referral services as a side gig and as a way to upgrade my gear at no cost. It’s a losing and very expensive battle living on the bleeding edge so over the years I’ve been content to build stuff for myself for around $1500 dollar price tag and it’s been more than plenty.
I like my PCs dead silent so lower wattage CPUs, Noctua fans and wee thought out component and wiring choices and I’m a happy camper. Now my gaming is casual and limited to relatively low requirement games. Diablo 3 and Path of Exiles.
I just redid my box threw in a 6 core 9600K 95W but it stays cool with just a Noctua cooler and a “splurged” for an RTX 2060. Sub $1500 build and that included a 32" Samsung monitor. It’s amazing how much computer money buys nowadays.
bruh I’ve been doing so many family and friends builds recently all basically the same builds a b450 matx board with a matx case and a 1tb hdd and a 250 gig ssd with a 450 w power supply as well as a 3200g for office and living room pcs for a $400-$500 CAD a pc that cfan play cs go and even overwatch at lower settings on on the integrated GPU. sometimes if its for a family that has kids I try to put some extra of my own money and add a bit more power on the PSU so the kids in the future can upgrade the gpu and I try to convince the parents to get a 3400g instead these builds are so fast and simple to do its an easy way to teach kids how to build
I “deployed” several office boxes based on the Athlon 200GE on A320 boards.
The one for my grandmother was the first and most difficult due to how the case is layed out:
I usually go totl but fully upgrade only once every 5+ years. But midway through there is a gfx card upgrade.
My last build was 3k plus but also had a new 1440p monitor and keyboard. X99 back when intels HEDPC platforms were affordable.
For people who go all out once per year pr two, i dont get that unless you have the money and its a main hobby.
I sold my 3900x i was going to build with and am awaiting ryzen 4000
This is not much of a PC topic, but do you guys even use freaking gaming chairs? Because I don’t. It’s just that they are expensive even though they are just freaking chairs with expensive logos on it. I have been using normal chairs while using my PC and those gave me no issues. What do you guys think? I get it when it is comfortable but you could get a comfy chair that is not a “GAMING” chair for a cheaper price.
Nah they are useless and uncomfortable for longer sessions I use a really shitty hand me down chair but in the process of grabbing a ergonomic office chair
I dunno what i got, Looks like a gaming chair. It doesnt have those pillows but i hate them any way they so uncomfortable but could be cause im quite small so they dont always line up right so they kinda just stab me. I got a chair that someone found for me outside broken haha some kids broke it. I took it for free. Decent chair tbh quite comfy just need to borrow a welder to fix it. Atm ive slightly fixed it with Ducttape. Just the mechanism for keeping the back of the chair upright broke haha. Other than that is hald decent tho I would say its too big for me. If I sit right in the back fo it i can touch the floor but thats just small people problems XD
those were my exact thoughts on them, when I see people using those DXRacers and shit I am like “it’s just a fucking chair” like why bother? to make yourself all call and stand out to say to everyone that I have this, i am a gamer. tbh they are not making themselves any better for I only see those people idk douchebags.
The only chair i would even consider would be one of those secretlab chairs as they do look really nice. But with how much they cost xD
I have a relatively mid priced high back heavy duty office chair that really was only meant to be used on weekends but then covid happened and leather and lack of very stiff ass cushioning gets to be an issue from time to time. Got an ass cushion that helps though
When I have more money I’m getting a herman miller.
You’ll never look back. There are a bunch of places that will see either reconditioned or used or returns at a fraction of the cost. I work from home so a good sitting position is important. Because I have to sit in the same chair for work and for personal use.
I picked this up last year because I’m 6’2" and 240 pounds, and I gotta say for a reasonably cheap chair I’ve really enjoyed it. It’s comfy for bigger folk.
