Rasterisation is around 70-80% boost RTX is around 90-100% boost
I remember a totl 9700 pro being $150, and feel like i was spending too much when they were $400 totl cards.
I feel the big jump came when 1 card 2 gpu solutions came out. Ok so you have two silicones on one card so its like 2 in one, i see that the price will raise from that. Buuuut they never came down once those novelty cards went away.
Fuck me just saw the announcements and now heavily debating if that extra 50 percent or worth the 3080 over the 3070. Amd better release some fuck shit to see if they can hurt nvdias pricing at all
If AMD is smart from a financial stand point, they fight the 3060 and ignore everything beyond that.
Maybe bring back these beasts:
Consoles and embedded (maybe servers) are their best option.
I’m probably gonna need the 3090 (Davinci Resolve loves its VRAM) But I recognize I am within the limited market that will make use of it. (film editing, Modelling, Animation, VFX) The question is what benefits are there to Waiting for an EVGA card or sticking with Founders
The 3090 is a BEAST. Can say that
Nothing of too much importance from what I noticed.
We shall see when independent reviews come out.
Tell that to the gamers who will actually buy it.
The only 8k displays I know of are TVs. 8k isn’t exactly relevant right now.
I don’t think anyone really does in the consumer space.
Agreed.
That would be great… If AMD and Nvidia hadn’t pretty much given up on multi-gpu set ups.
It might be coming back at some point from what I’ve heard of hidden beta Checkerboard Rendering stuff in Nvidia drivers
MSI just dropped the news on their 30 series cards:
https://www.msi.com/Landing/GeForce-RTX-30-Series
Can do it easily via Vulkan, except very few games use it.
And Nvidias drivers on 10 and 20 series will eat your CPU alive when someone does.
That was fucking fast
My goal this upgrade cycle was just something better than a 2080 ti. So a 3070 is probably what I’m going for. I just need to be able to run cyberpunk at 144hz 1440p
That also depends on user and developer adoption. If users don’t use it, then there’s no point in developers putting in the extra effort to implement it.
What’s the difference between Ventus and Gaming Trio beyond RGB?
Probably just that.
I would expect GamersNexus to take them apart when available.
Lol it doesnt help brands adding Gaming editions of the 3090 when its not a gaming gpu lol. @BluJay614
Well apparently a big thing about the 30 series is that it scales for all uses apparently. Whereas say the last gen equivalent, RTX titan had some issues with games
Probably price.
They’re claiming the Trio will have a graphine backplate, newer ball bearing fan design, and extra tooling put into cutting shit into the fins to (allegidly) improve “airflow dynamics” and “disrupt unwanted airflow harmonics”
So… Samsung is making Nvidias GPUs
Expect interesting cooling solutions to deal with the heat.
Cause they know it’s gonna sell anyways, so why not jump on the money train?
Exactly haha
