That’s what i thought but vivids don’t come in black , at least i could not find them and from the naming it would not make sense
But seems to be the same tip

Yeah i know right! I dont know if its in your possession but the plastic behind also looks like it came with something? i mean perhaps they made black ones to be part of some IEM package or handouts for conventions or something

Yes it was in a tour package and came with EXT MKII.
Still don’t understand why they don’t sell them in black as that’s what most people would prefer i guess

Many tip makers should understand that their tips should be in very neutral colors, they have become slightly better lately but they make stupid choices all the time. people spend XYZ amounts on cables and to some degree IEMs themselves after looks. why does spinfit and azla think i want XYZ NEON color because my ear happen to be XYZ size? If you make a good tip why minimize their compability with peoples rigs?

Yes that’s really weird, same with the orange penon tips…it might look good on a handful of sets but suck on so many others

Everyone, to those who own Elysian Pilgrims like me, what tips do you use for it? Right now I am using the Penon Liqueurs on it and I really love the fit that I get overall. Also the Final Type Es Standards are good as well for it tames the harshness of the Pilgrims, but a different story when I use the white Type Es which does the opposite.

Seems like Final Audio has a new tip

Hybrid foam/silicone.

But its EXTREMELY overpriced at 40 usd for just 2 pairs!

I have a pair, they’re… aight lol not worth the money imo. They’re really comfortable though.

At that price you should get this.

This works perfectly with bullet iems, totally fixes the EX800st weird fit. Im using it with vent block mod and with the custom “tips” there is even less pressure than normally with this mod.

Yeap too overpiced imo…that price is practically new budget IEM territory

Thats a good find for a healthy ammount of material. I tried with some older pairs and tested with the diy earplug molds and that was expensive and very difficult to get right. Yours seems more forgiving.

haha yeah i failed the first time but learned after that and its not that hard really.

Could you elaborate? I assume you didn’t mold it onto the actual IEM? Did you cast it around an existing eartip or something? Very curious, as this seems like a nice way to get a semi-custom IEM feel :star_struck:

Follow this guide.

The impression mold comes in 2 parts, you mix them up and it starts the curing process. Then put it inside a syringe and then press it into your ear canals (need an impression foam inside the canal first!) then around the ear like the video above. Then take an iem without any tips and push it into the mold in a position as similar as how you would normally wear the iem as possible. do that for both ears and then sit still and wait. The mold I use seems to be best to wait 20 minutes for it to fully cure but 10 minutes is otherwise enough. Then take out the mold (rotating it slowly out of the ear) and remove the iem and then take a drill and drill a hole out of the “nozzle”. Now you have a custom eartip for that specific iem. With 200 grams like the link above, I estimate you can make around 8-10 pairs.

I gotta try this :star_struck:

Here is what you need:

I bought the biggest size foam as I did not want it to go too deep for safety, but proper ciem do need it to be fairly deep into your ears, as we are not pros I would recommend you do the same.
(or buy multiple sizes so you can try, I only bought one so that was a bit risky.)

Has anyone tried these elliptical tips?

Looks like it would fit TWS iem nozzles better.
