Yeah I did that. I’m a very simple man and the little ding windows makes sounded so different so I kinda sat there and played with it a bit.
Lol well you should be set then regarding that. Also see if that boost switch does anything. It’s somewhat of an impedance match switch but I wonder if it does anything for the 880 for you
I can’t hear an audible change so far when I flip that boost switch. Seems only gain and bass have an effect so far.
Gotcha that’s what I figured, it’s more for sensitive iems, I would just keep it on low
So other than the slight noise floor, how do you like the headphones themselves?
The headphones are great! The picture doesn’t do it any justice though. You were totally right about them being deep.
After some adjusting and such I found the perfect spot. I don’t hear the hiss anymore and the volume is perfect.
Okay I can definitely say without a doubt that i’m enjoying these. It’s also kinda weird too I feel like i’m relearning sounds.
Is there anything else I should be doing to better the experience.
Not worrying about it and just enjoying it lol
Cool thank you guys for all the help!
You don’t know what you’ve started. Prepare your wallet lol.
Hahaha I’m mostly reading about what all this stuff means. I could definitely use a thesaurus for all this terminology. Ohms and Impedance all that. For now i’ll just enjoy before I really delve deeper.
As you go deeper this shit becomes more natural and feels like a different language. Sometimes audiophelia feels like the most pretentious shit cause of it
Lol yeah, you just start to get it and get addicted (although I am definitely not addicted, not one bit)
So after doing a ton of just listening to music I decided to play some games. My heart was racing and for some reason I was looking over my shoulder a ton. It felt like there were people in the room with me. Very spooky.
The 880 is awesome for gaming, a very high performer
For sure definitely take a small bit of getting used to. Nearly broke my neck though lmao is that normal. I was legit doing it on reflex.
That’s because the imaging is extremely accurate lol. For competitive gaming there isn’t much else in the price range that can give a better edge.
It’s just generally good overall, I still enjoy my pair a fair bit even though I have higher end pairs
Why my 990 is the pick for me beyerdynamic imaging is so hard to beat competitively that it’s hard recc any other brand unless they got HD 800s money
