For those of you whoâve bought these headphones and gone through the wait, how were the comms from Ryan? Is it pretty much something like this?:

Wait estimated time with no correspondence
Get a shipping notification
Or is there any sort of email like âHey Iâve started working on your headphones nowâ when itâs getting closer to completion?
I donât mind the wait personally but just was curious about whether I can expect to receive any updates at all or if Ryan is pretty much going flat out and doesnât have the time for chit-chat (which Iâm assuming may be the case)
Haha itâs pretty much like this from what Iâve seen.
Though for my case specifically, it was slightly different. I was about to travel around the time of shipment, so tried to get in contact with Ryan a couple of times, after 3 or 4 emails, Katie (I believe Ryanâs wife) replied - was told there were issues with their email system & managed to get the headphones shipped on time before travelling.
Lol OK cool, thatâs what I figured. Good to hear they are still reachable for urgent stuff with a bit of prodding.
When I was first getting interested in the Argons and decided to finally check their website, I was greeted with all sorts of warning pages in Edge Chromium about phishing scams and so I almost got cold feet. To test the waters, I used the contact form and got a reply from Ryan very quickly so I assumed he might be frequent with comms but I guess I caught him at a good time.
I kinda feel sorry for the guy in a sense as I canât even imagine myself having a 12 week backlog of work to do at my own job. I picture him slaving away at a work bench, weeping quietly as each new order rolls in â his poor wife; roped into his successful little venture; frantically stitching deer skin comfort straps to keep up with demand
I really hope itâs a labour of love for them and from what Iâve read and seen from reviewers and customers, it seems like that is the case.
Apparently Modhouse got slammed with orders before the Christmas season and barely got caught up with November orders. The company is doing a balancing act between work and scaling up for business because they see the demand. If anything MAYBE this COVID-19 virus might allow them to focus on getting some orders completed. I cannot promise near future logistics wonât become an issue.
After using this for a year i have my conclusion
I might get a lot of hate or even zeos ban me but for me i enjoy these 630vb underrated headphones than my argon mk3âŚ
And i already sold my argon mk3 for 260$ on a Redditor
The only thing that argon mk3 excels at is the soundstage and isolation thatâs about it
the timbre sounds cheap ,the treble peak are unlistenable on some of my tracks
While the 630vb has better detail retrieval and more natural timbre. and you can adjust how much the bass you want.
what are your thoughts on the cascades? I kinda hadnât really looked at them because they seemed portable focused but Iâm always interested in a bass cannon.
Great bassy fun on the go, they stay refined too, if you want thick, warm, and bassy fun thatâs portable then these are def something to check out, I really liked mine when I had them
