šŸ”¶ Monoprice Monolith M570

Yeah, as long as you arenā€™t expecting as wide of a sound and as much bass, they should be a welcome improvement imo lol

Iā€™m all over the place this is pretty much just madness. I ordered the m570 to test out as well against my Sundara.

Donā€™t worry about it, you are NOT alone in the madness. Also, itā€™s good for the economy, when in doubt buy them all! LOL.

It may be good for the economy as a whole, but not for an individual wallet lol

what your wallet and mine combined the past 60 days have spent could probably support a small nationā€¦LOL

Itā€™s not killing my wallet itā€™s just the constant fluctuations. Back and forth, up and down, and head entering into the asshole, and out of the left nostril. I was gonna wait on the LCD1 or M1070. So if the M1070 is what I think it is I need to take this dt770 80ohm back. If the 1more triple driver headphone drops enough Iā€™ll try that. What Iā€™m saying is one of these headphones Iā€™m gonna chose, if I buy 2 I might as well not keep those 2 and get the Lcd1 or M1070. Yie yie yieee!

How is m570 listening to rock music? And do you feel tired at high notes as he4xx?

My m570 arrived today. I would like to know your opinions between the sundara and de m570. I had the sundara before. It was good but it fatigued me after 30min. The mids were to forward with a lot of detail. I have used the m570 for 1h no problem so far.

Mine was suppose to come in on the 20th, but the date was changed to the 19th so Iā€™ll let you know my first impressions of it and how it sounds compared to the Sundara.

Mine came early and Iā€™m listening to them now. My first impression is that they sound huuuggge!!! I thought it was the soundstage but itā€™s the drivers. I never heard headphones with drivers this size, itā€™s like a stereo system on my head! And the detail, this thing has detail I mean detaaailā€¦I heard some things in songs that absolutely tripped me out. The mids being recessed is not a problem, but theirs a metallic ring that it has with some audio, but I rarely hear it. Hopefully being new burn in is the solution.

I meant to say it has a metallic echo.

I forgot to mention that m570 destroys my 6xx and Sundara, itā€™s neck and neck with the Erupts. Their both are so different from one anotherā€¦it will be extremely difficult to put one over the other or declare a draw.

Iā€™ve had the M570 for about 2 weeks now and I really like them, I put Sendy Aiva pads on them and I think it tamed the treble just a tiny bit. Overall they are awesome but Iā€™m having to split listening duty with my ZMF Aeolus as they came in a couple days later. Ordered BLON B20 from Drop so have those to look forward to next month. Iā€™ll be curious to see how they compare to the M570. Too many headphones and not enough time to enjoy them. Craaap!

Comparing the two head to head right now itā€™s an easy win for the Erupt for me personally.

How were you able to get an erupt so quickly? It will take some months for me to determine whatā€™s better.

This may be a big ask for some but I am curious if anyone who owns a pair would mind taking a screw driver to their pair? Iā€™m on my second pair because I thought the drivers on the original pair had a tilt that was different on each side and shouldnā€™t be tilted at all. My second pair showed the same signs but what it actually turned out to be was the plastic ring or frame that holds the driver in place and the pads. Some parts had that ring pinching the pads so I took this pair apart to see what was going on. All I did was clean out some of the splinters and firm up the screws for the grill. When I put them back together I made sure to ease up on the screws for that plastic ring so it stays level all the way around and now they donā€™t sound the same. The treble isnā€™t as aggressive as it was before and this pair sounded just like the last before I took them apart. I actually liked the way they sounded but they could get fatiguing before. Unfortunately the weirdness that happens between 800-1000hz is still there and I donā€™t know what is the cause for the change in sound. Idk if the driver didnā€™t like the uneven pressure from the four screws on that plastic ring or there was some play on that metal grill and tightening those screws firmed that up helping things out. Iā€™m a bit confused because the only thing I am certain of is I didnā€™t get adjusted to them causing the change. I never adjusted to the first pair and this happened immediately after reassembly on the first day of receiving the replacement.

The power of lucky timing. Found them on eBay buy-it-now from someone who just got them in last week and decided that they werenā€™t for them.

You are probably being much more fair than I am. I am about to start a move so I have to make quick judgements on these things and send back what I donā€™t want before I go. Of the little stack Iā€™ve built It seems the Elex canā€™t be dethroned.

For the Canadians wanting the m570 itā€™s $313 CAD which is basically 26%off on Amazon but will take a month or 2 to ship

That is a about $5 cheaper that when Monoprice offered a coupon code on Ebay (based on todayā€™s conversion rate).
