The m570 and vokyl erupt are both amazing, I donāt understand why the m570 sounds so huge and bass heavy. Can anyone put a finger on what Iām experiencing? Is this the sound you get from large drivers, my Sundara is similar where itās not as huge or bass heavy sounding, but it has quite a bit of bass. It has more bass than my he 400i and hd6xx, with only 60mm drivers.
Well it is a v shaped tuning so it does have more bass by tuning compared to the sundara
But to my ears the sundaraās are v shaped. This m570 had connectors so tight I barely got the left one out and had to use pliers for the right one, itās getting easier to detach slowly. And the pads wonāt stay still and keep moving aroundā¦always somethingā¦
Hmm, I had always thought of the sundaras as neutral bright. Also yeah the connectors start to get less grippy on the sendy style headphones. Although the pads moving around never was an issue with the sendy
Donāt know if I should keep it or send it back. The M1070 suppose to come out on the 2nd, if not earlier. If they drop a deal like they did for the m570, I might go for that. I fooled around, got a taste of the m570, now I want more of a taste with m1070ā¦dough!!!
I do think it might be an upgrade, but the 1070 might have a pretty different sound if they are trying to recreate audezeās house sound of one of their lcd headphones
Thatās what Iām thinking that their trying to do again, I would like to experience that sound.
that sounds interesting if they are aiming to do with the m1070 with what they seemingly tried to do at least in my opinion with the 1060 by trying to get the audeze crowed to buy into them they might actually succeed this time because they have been doing great in the audio space lately. also anyone notice they are also dropping a liquid spark DAC? just found out about it and itlloks intersting cause that means we will have a proper stack finally that may rival the schiit aesthetic
Yeah I think it was brought up in the monoprice hype thread for the headphones and the amp lol
hopefully monoprice does what monoprice does best and literally take a khadas tone board and put it in a machined box mod it so theier are buttons to it
but I know thats not the case and will deffinitely have a bit of color to it for the caveli house sound
I want a m570c. It would be great to have a portable planar closed back. Their literally is nothing like that to chose from. A used Oppo pm 3 is all you can get in this category and their goofy expensive.
The metallic echo went away, the pads stay where they at if I donāt touch them. I was putting my hands on the headphones and pads to get the cables out being so tight. I like them a little more than the Vokyl Erupt so Iām keeping them.
Have you heard the argons or monoprice retros?
No I havenāt, but I have pair of mk3ās with alcantara pads that were sounding terrible. I burned them in and everything, so much distortion! But after roughly 2 months of not hearing them, they sound so much better. Theirs distortion on a few songs so if I keep burning them in and adjusting to the sound theyāll sound right. When that happens Iāll get them converted.

These look like clones of older monoprice stuff and would probably be alright. Also their site looks like the hifiman site lol
The appearance is slightly different from m1060. Purchased GL1000. I wonder if the sound is the same.
For the experienced planar listeners, would this be a good pick for me?
To be clear, I had the OPPO PM3ās and sold them after six months as I found them boring. Decided to try one more time and I bought the HE4XXās. I hated them with all my amps.
Am I just not a planar guy or would these blow me away?
Looking for input.
