Mate, most of what I say is meant it jest. If we all just agree with each the whole time this hobby would just involve listening to music - could you imagine a world where this happens!?

I can’t find anything in this thread about a zmf headband cover… would you mind showing me where to find one?
edit: I think I found it… is it the pilot pad?

Pilot pad would add comfort to the top of the head band. I find the stock headband good. No discomfort to mention. I wish they didn’t use plastic where the yoke slides into.

I do find them uncomfortable and I’m looking for replacement headbands myself. If I can’t find a decent one I’ll just use nuggets or something.
EDIT: Actually, now that I think about it, I have a bag of memory foam I took out from a pillow. I’ll look into crocheting something and stuffing it with the memory foam

I’ve come to a conclusion that recommending the Phantom is not a good idea. I love them.
Now we need to get s_beck to make us the replacement grills.
s_beck did you post in headfi.org with pic of hifiman 4xx? If it was you it looks dope.

Was not me! I actually bought a 3D printer that’s getting here today and am designing some grills now…
Hopefully will be showing some off in ~ a week or so!
I’m actually planning on designing something a bit tricky that implements the fazors in the grill itself (one piece that comes down and touches off on the magnets). That one might take a bit longer

I do indeed! I did however (very) regrettably manage to destroy one of my drivers trying to take it apart and modify it…
I WOULD NOT suggest trying to take your drivers apart, lol.
Anyway, IT’S FINE, linsoul is being helpful and is going to try and get a single driver for me from the factory, haha.
In the mean time, I can still make parts for and take measurements on one of the cups
At least you can use the broken one to figure stuff out.

Edit: pretty sure that dms is lazy and that’s just the default guidelines anyway (not that because of that they are invalidated, but I don’t think there is really anything wrong here)

@odog Lucky to get the buttcase that the reviewers were asking for. The rest of us batch 2 did not get a second set of pads… its like they randomly decided to throw things in the package.
Was soo close to getting these, but went with LCD-2.2 pre Fazors instead for the same price. I think once this thread went to EQ:ing I decided it’s not for me.
