Huumm can I turn off all that holographic dsp?

Yep, it is on and off

Does it have good feedback? I bought cayin ru-6 2 hours ago LOL

Andy likes it, my polish forum loves it (and they hate basically everything), but you could find some mixed reviews hating this DSP and technicalities here and there. Also from 370mW at 32ohm rated by creative ASR measured like 130mW so also not a good sign.

I generally find this device interesting and sticking out from all the rest same looking dongle DACs, but in no way would shill you for another purchase (especially after this Cayin for hell lot of money)

Creative SXFI AMP + Aurvana Trio LS Bundle - Zestawy produktów - Creative Labs (Polska) interestingly enough you could buy it in a bundle with hybrid iems for 8 euro more (also there is a code 23OFF to reduce the price even further). The original MRRP for the buds was 150$ and they even seem to have held their ground back then…

I was shilling you so hard that I almost convinced myself to buy it as well

Edit: sorry, this is different IEM than 150 Aurvana trio, it has only one driver of liquid silicone rubber driver whatever shit that driver is

3BA,good timbre but not technical, according to crin. Used to be 250$. C rank

See my edit, I was wrong regarding the IEM

mans is solely responsible for dac chip shortages :joy:

It may be creative Poland only then as it works in my cart. It also cuts down the price by 23 PLN which makes sense that it is local… The shipment is free also, so in my case it is all for 63 EUR. If there would be cost benefit in buying from PL and sending it to Portugal I can do it for you if you would like that

I pay basicly the same without a coupon, no need.

I do it if you do it :joy:

I bought several products from Creative and was always disappointed by something at some point. I ended up hating them for very poor design choices on a high end sound card. Since then, I don’t trust the brand.

Well, Andy approves it (bare bones, no dsp), so it had my curiosity…

Do I need it? Hell noes

Hi Kalnet, I don’t post much anymore because I’ve begun working in the industry so I don’t feel it’s ethical to be broadcasting personal opinions about products when accepting financial profit.

BUT… I just have to post that I find it interesting/hilarious when “reviewers” shuffle their tier lists. lol Especially with sets that have existed on their lists for quite some time. I know some of these reviewers don’t even own the units they are putting on their lists and might have had very little time with the units to evaluate them. Who really knows if they’ve even actually heard them at all? Beware what you believe if it’s not from your own ears.

With that said, Adios all! Tea cult forever!

EJ07M/KL or Tea2 for more wide, holographic, 3d staging?

The code that works in en store is 5OFF in case you need more reasons

I am still on the edge as MEST was supposed to be the last purchase apart from some DAP…

I would go any of the EJs if you want that and can spend the extra buck. Overall a better IEM with better imaging.

Tea2 give me an insane amount of 3D, but so does M/KL with better positional queues.

I’ve just answered your PM on hf, but I will repeat it here. M and KL are basicly the same IEM with a different bass shelf. The stage presentation is very close that I consider it under placebo range at that point, so I will leave it at that.

Let’s skip, I also have 2 more dongles incoming :joy:

What DAPs you looking at?

Honestly it is the toughest question of all. All depends on how MEST would end up playing straight of phone/q5k.
If there are problems with source/impedance matching I would like to explore some better sources in terms of OI and general sound quality (as everyone claims that MEST + Q5k is like using Dacia’s engine in Ferrari’s chassis).

Must haves for me:

  • both SE and BAL output
  • true line out
  • true battery life for more than 8h on balanced
  • output impedance <1 Ohm

Nice to haves:

  • 2,5mm output instead of 4,4mm
  • android and streaming capability
  • BT receiver option
  • more than 300mW at 32 ohm of power
  • good price obviously

Right now I am eyeing:

  • Cayin N3Pro
  • Shanling M3X
  • Hiby R3 Pro Saber
  • Hiby R5 gen 2

I believe you had your hands on most right?
Honestly I have one thing that stops me from going all the way toward DAP immediately - I am afraid that the difference I would notice would be close to none and I would spend couple of hundreds of dollars for yet another brick in the pocket.

This way alternatively I am considering a phone with MicroSD + mini Jack and that would be Xperia 5 III only…
