is it MX500 shell as well? What is the cost of it - also 200$? My ears hate MX500 for longer sessions, but only set that I heard tgx makes with other shells (Serratus w/ Qian39) are having different driver - 32Ohms

It is. Same shell as Tantalus and Serratus. Not sure about other options.

Still praying for that PK Shell R&D in the future

Very cool! I have had the Serratus for the past two weeks. I’m enjoying them very much. The timbre is great on it with good technicalities. The Riku Grand Rider 1s are a little thinner in the mids with good timbre but not at the same level as the Serratus, but the technicalities of the Grand Rider 1s is superior for detail, depth and width of sound stage. The sets compliment each other, for my ears.

You’re in for a treat! I definitely prefer the RU-6 to my Q5K in most situations (the Q5K still has its use cases)

Ooh! This is making me even more excited to get my Grand Rider :fire:

Great review brother, did like the fact that you used some of the tracks :sunglasses::ok_hand:t2:

FYI living in Germany I was able to order it for only 199€ from the official fiio store which made it a really good deal IMHO :slightly_smiling_face:

Also I did not think much, could have send it to you in the original packing aswell which is great with standard tip collection, soft case, hardcase and brush

How did you like the cable?

Thanks brother. I enjoyed the playlist and found some new gems, so why not :call_me_hand:

I know all the accessories since they are the same as fh3. I don’t like this cable, never did :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, for 200 the deal is even better. It’s a fun, musical and not-so-common style of IEM that holds it special place. It has some fundamental flaws but a stellar bass performance. I wish FH3 was this.

Time isnt kind to these iems technical performance but it holds its ground once again, so I bet it was a bomb back then.

Actually, I dont remember much hype about the FH5 back then…

Moondrop KXXS
Audiosense T800
Fearless Audio S6-Rui/S8F

Were the hyped ones iirc.

I also just recently traded my Globes for a set of Fiio FH5S and slapped a 300 level filter on the nozel flipped the bass and mids switch to on and have to say with a pure OFCC cable they sound damn good , unique with the ba in the nozel in a good way a slightly different presentation to my other IEM. Compfy and well made . Was a good trade .

I’ve narrowed my new purchases to the FiiO FH9 and the DUNU Vulkan I listen to classic rock, Progressive rock, funk, hip hop reviews are a bit thin on the ground what’s the general opinion on these two

I can’t comment on the FH9 as I haven’t heard it. I like the Vulkan, although it isn’t perfect. My review of the Vulkan is over in the Acho Reviews thread if you’re interested.
