For folks interested in these but are unwilling to buy a dedicated 100 wpc into 8ohm amp to power these ear speakers, Schiit has made a limited edition version of the Jotunheim specifically for it, with the option to put in a multibit dac.

these all look so uncomfortable

They kinda are to me, they give me a headache where they rest, but they don’t actually touch their ears. They are somewhat comfy for some

What is this sorcery!!!

Why listen to anything else if you got these Mon?

I don’t have them, I decided to not buy them, I’m going to wait for a second release

I think we’ve had this conversation…Ain’t they a modern day K1000?

The modern day k1000 are the myspheres, the raals are different

What is that? A Transformer? A robot? A heating unit?

What in the heck are these? https://drop.com/buy/raal-requisite-sr1a-earfield-headphone

They look like straight out of a star trek movie.

Those are one of the best Detailed most soundstage earSPEAKERS. Yeah you dont call then headphones. you call the earspeakers. And if i could i would sell my car for it. I would

I dont think their much more expensive that focal utopias especially with the specialized schiit amp

Yeah but you can buy a Utopia used for 2000$

Without any interface right off the website it will cost you 3200
What you’re mostly paying for is powering the thing it seems

Yeah thats the drawback. you need a speaker amp i believe.

Schiit makes a modified jotunheim that powers it sans speaker amp for 900 usd

Sheesh! its like the STAX all over again.

That’s actually the least painful option as raal’s in house headamp is 3100 dollars or folks are powering it with chord étude desktop amps which are 5500 dollars

Now i wonder of the Jotunheim does it justice
