Who said that was the end of it?
You mean theres more?
I’m saying I believe there’s a good chance that’s not it. I could see there still being more. Hell, I know there would be if Trump had won rather than Biden, but we won’t get into that.
So like those $2000 checks are coming? Want to pick up some cans to drown all that out.
No, just $600. We got stiffed by Mitch
Apparently some people aren’t even getting anything
That’s me. Adult dependent. Even though I have worked a job.
Feel really bad for my fellow grads and juniors who are actually f-ed finacially and can’t get aid they really need.
I’ve seen an increasing number of young college-age people and asians come to the food lines I volunteer for on top of normally struggling families here in socal. Sucks.
Speaking of college, I just spent ZMF Verite money today for the privilege to teach myself calculus and take an online public speaking class (can’t wait to experience that train wreck). It really cheeses my onions that online classes, especially during a pandemic AND the second depression of a generation, are still full priced.
Worse yet, all those kiddos who didn’t get a refund, even partial, for dorm and dining fees back at the start of the pandemic. oof.
Not enough supporters in congress for $2000 checks to pass ? Darn it. Honestly would use the relief check to resupply the bunker/upkeep.
Me again, sorry.
I just got a bill for emergency room services four and a half fucking months after the services were rendered (mid August). I ended up being admitted to the ER’s hospital overnight. The hospitalization and the tests that were run at the hospital were all billed and paid for within 60 days. I was never informed the ER was a separate billing entity run by a separate company by anyone or on any paperwork. The only solace is at least the ER’s facility was in network for my policy.
Even if people can afford the bills, how in the living hell can be people be expected to financially plan when they have absolutely no idea how many different entities will be billing them, who they are, and whether the bills will arrive promptly or some significant portion of a year later? You want to start healthcare reform that’s meaningful to the average person? Start there. Mandate that people are provided with notification of the entities billing them in X amount of time and that the bills are issued in Y amount of time after the insurance claims are processed.
The costs of healthcare in the U.S. are obviously obscene, but not even having the information to plan for those costs is just the extra special FU sauce on the large items going up our backsides.
Can I just yell “FUCK!” for USPS misdelivering my Bifrost 2 to the wrong home address? The person who signed off on the package obviously wasn’t me. It might have been one of the hired hands working on my neighbor’s property… two miles away (yes, I’m in the countryside at the time being). Come on USPS, it isn’t that fucking hard!
Really sucks. I’m still waiting for a 6.35mm to 3.5mm adapter I ordered before christmas. been delayed twice now lol. I wish the USPS was actually well funded, well staffed, and well equipped…
A bunch of friends are waiting on gifts bought before thanksgiving. Its not great.
The 2008 crisis hit when i first entered the work force and no one wanted to hire and if they did the terms were to run you into the ground. It got better, but now in my early 30s about to finally overcome and take the next step career tier wise and things solidly in place… Bam pandemic.
I feel for you guys.
You think that’s bad? There are many other people living in my University dorm, one of them said to Royal Mail they didn’t want post to b delivered, so now Royal Mail won’t deliver to all 500 people here because the request counts as the building as a whole.
“We’ve received a request not to deliver mail to the property your item is addressed to today. We’ll attempt delivery as per the instructions we’ve received.”
One person out of 500 has screwed over everyone’s mail for the foreseeable future, fantastic
I really miss going to live performances. It’s been almost a year since I did it. Covid sucks
Yeah, all the concerts that I had bought tickets for in 2020 have been postponed to this year and are slowly cancelling now.
I want to go on a trip that requires airline travel and be miserable while doing it like the old days.
