They have those, if I’m understanding you right. Just a USB-C or Lightning plug instead of a 3.5mm jack. A few audiophile companies have tried this, Sennheiser, Hifiman to name a few.
The issue is, it segments off a select demographic and makes those cans only usable for that plug. It’s a horror show in terms of marketability.
Yeah! I was thinking about going back to Nokia since lately, they have been underrated when it comes to their smart phones, same goes to Sony. Samsung to me lately is just becoming Apple but the lesser-evil version, for them too are starting to remove the headphone jack and the so-called pathetic excuse of not including a charging brick in their phones. Like who in the hell wants a fucking phone with no charging brick?! it’s like you’re getting headphones but with the audio drivers removed!
So yeah, I am basically sick with Samsung right now on what they are doing lately, also the bashing that they did towards to Apple didn’t age well, for they have become the thing that they were sort to ridicule, therefore played themselves.
people make a valid effort to be better people at one point in time, i just don’t see why they choose to do it only part of the time. there are ups and downs in life, but consistent effort is seemingly ignored for lack of care more than anything.
I don’t like Amazon’s delivery service, but at least their package tracker doesn’t cause much anxiety. They just throw up the map if it’s like in the next few deliveries.
I got a update from UPS, and they’re like “Follow your package on out live view” or something. So I do; my package is literally two blocks away from me, but due in like four hours. OK, early delivery, nice–I thought.
NOPE. The truck has been circling my area, going away and closer and worming its way through every neighborhood except mine for like four hours now. The UPS driver probably stopped by the Fedex office to have a flirty chat with the new clerk and licked his cheetos clean during lunch for how long this shit is taking.
UPS Follow My Delivery is it a curse or a blessing?
I’m pretty sure that the “Follow My Delivery” live map feature that UPS offers is intended to be a positive feature but for a fella like me, I think it causes more anxiety than anything else.
You already are anxious waiting for the new purchase you made, you have been following progress since the moment you received a tracking number. Watching your package meander it’s way from the origin, checking for updates everyday, sometimes seeing movement sometimes it appears to stall. It’s an up an down emotional roller coaster but then, you get the notice - Package scheduled for delivery tomorrow - Whoo Hooo! Then tomorrow comes and you are sent another update - Package scheduled for deliver today, you can follow your delivery on the live map here’s your link!
So what do you do - you click the damn link of coarse. You see the truck leaving the service center, watch as it makes it way to your area with status reported “on the Road”. Oh boy, it is getting closer… You get another update, “In your Area” you check the map - Yep there it is - you can see that the delivery truck is less than 10 blocks away. Palms begin to sweat a little, heart rate goes up - yes, my new piece is almost here - and then what. Next update Truck is still in your area but what, delivery window time is now pushed back another 3 hours… WTF I can see he’s still in the neighborhood but going down every street but mine. You are put into this holding pattern while that three hour window expires and you get a new 3 hour window.
You are now obsessed clicking that refresh button every couple minutes - Forget about the fact you are supposed to be working from home today or that your wife asked you to turn the crockpot on, and the dog really should go out for a potty break - Oh no, you are sitting there click, click, click. Maybe this time it will update…
Delivery day is so exhausting… Maybe it would be better if I did not know, like the old days. Just go out to check the mail and be surprised by the package on the porch…
Have had the same experience lol, so they do have scheduled pickups and drop offs, mainly business and medical stuff, thats mainly the factor in what seems like an endless circle around your house lol but if they dont meet those gaurenteed times, they have to pay back that money. Amazon does it great. They start with “your package is 10 stops away” much less anxiety there lol
