I’ve been wondering for a while why I preferred my DAP to my desktop setup. Turns out, I had applied an EQ in MusicBee and don’t remember doing it. I can’t even figure out which headphone it’s supposed to be for.

I must operate in different circles. This is the first time I’ve heard of that meme.
If you look at the trends in the sub-300€/$ class of headphone amplifiers, it is more power = more better.
Same with THD and Signal to Noise ratio.
I hate it so much.

Ah, I thought you were referencing a wider meme rather than the numbers above all else condition in audio gear.
I want to work out again, but this freaking right ankle of mine even though I can finally walk normally enough, the pain is still there to bother me a bit and it sucks that I cannot even sprint or do bodyweight exercises like Burpees. It’s even not much any better when I don’t have access to a room here where I can do my workouts alone, for one, the house is still being renovated like always and two, gyms here are closed and I am not a fan working out out in a public area.
I have to find an another way to move my body and maintain its fitness, for I don’t want to go back to my shitty health state back when I was a 3rd year college student.

ASR forum went to town on the amazon basic amp Z reviewed think few of them mentioned Z but not by name. Even did a tear down review.
Have one hooked upped through RCA out old cheap 4k panel-appletv-neumi-klipsch R-10SW sub. $400 audio sounds pretty damn good.
I’ve realised that I’m a sucker for time-limited sales, although I’m weirdly immune to flash sales by the likes of Amazon. It took me a long time to realise because I generally try to avoid spending money, so it balances out. I’ve only back a few projects on crowdfunding that turned out to be duds (or fraud, in one case), although I think that’s definitely more than half of all the projects. Then there’s Star Citizen, which for me is kind of in-between. I didn’t need to spend over €100 on that though…
What made me realise wasn’t making impulse open-box headphone purchases for ~€500 (although I’m happy with the Elegia and the D7200 isn’t bad either). No, it was ordering a dac2541 just because it was back in stock. I haven’t figured out which headphones I even want to go with it.
I’ll keep it, since I wanted a soekris DAC anyway. I just won’t gain much from it until I upgrade the rest of my chain in the right order. Lesson learned.

I absolutely can not stand when reviews spend any more than 10 seconds reviewing the case the fucking headphones/gadget comes in.
What makes it worse is basically all case reviews fall under the same 4 categories

Rant on my fellow countrymen:
Quite impressive that my country is going through the very worst Covid outbreak right now, even worse than last year, because people absolutely cannot quiet their asses down, they have to go to the beach in December and January and they have to (illegally) celebrate Carnaval in February.
At any opportunity in the near future, i’m moving to Uruguay.

Second focal elex I got in house that has a driver imbalance(left side is much louder than the right and more present vocals and drums are lopsided)… definitely not my amps as its imbalanced on all of my setups. How annoying, very glad my clears aren’t like this but I wanted to have both in house to see which I preferred more… would really like to have an elex that isn’t faulty…
My first pair of elex had the exact same problem but my replacement pair was great. I kinda prefer them to the clears for most stuff idk why. @Falenkor
Yeah, thats why im sitting back with elex… elex is a fantastic headphone for its price… I need to go try the new clears though too. I really love clear but I really like the elex… however they fit the same spot for me so I only will choose one for the wall lol
i think my lady may be a bit more sensitive to sounds as she absolutely prefers the clear she says for its sound
secondary rant: having your lady hog your focal clears… lol
Guess who ended up breaking the fiber cable on a Saturday, and now has to wait until Monday (or more) to get the ISP to fix it…

Just received a set of Dekoni Pads ordered from Adorama in the mail. Dekoni box absolutely destroyed and the pads have a rediculous chemical smell that I’ve never encountered on these pads before. 
I’ll be shocked if this is an effortless return.

I hate how bad and biased the education system is.
Feels like WE, as a collective whole planet of people, are holding ourselves back because we choose to die on ideologies and refute reality.
