This is EVGA’s website right now. Apparently they don’t use Cloudflare
Yup same article, off the top of my head acts of god, political instability in the region, the downed reactor without even getting into everday logistics to establish a hifi guides farmville colony.
Maybe have the airbase christmas drop hipsters to get the town started.
That’s been the case in some remote areas for years in Japan.
There are places in the US with the similar issues.
No jobs and aging populations kill towns
Saw a documentary “princes of yen” on youtube, seems legit account of japans economy.
When and will prices drop to prior covid sales ?
The fact that supplies to make cables cost more than buying cables already assembled, it does my head in…
Eh, sadly we just can’t justify buying the material that that large of a bulk quantity.
I never knew this year could get any damn worse for me, it might not be for you but for me it is. Another VTuber that I watch from time to time to release some of the stress, laugh, have fun and keep my head up high just graduated, meaning retired therefore she will be no longer active after her last live that is being scheduled.
I know some of you don’t know a lick nor even care about these VTubers but you have to understand, behind those anime avatars they are still people too, I might not know them in person but I appreciate the content that they can give me while they are still active. Thank you Kiryu Coco from Hololive, for making me laugh on those days where sorrow is most apparent. Now, it’s all back to those sorrowful days again, fuck this year honestly.
Why the fuck is it that all he incredibly beautiful and well done songs used in shows are almost always from the shows that happen to be dark and depressing? Usually lots of death going on.
Jumping on this late, but honestly these areas should be bulldozed IMHO. These “towns” are often collected around highways folks only use to bypass toll roads and a looong time ago had some industry, but now that’s gone. And I’m talking a town that once had like 100 people at their peak, now has like 5 old folks who can’t leave. It would take a good hour to get any groceries, more if snowing (very common, probably common for the highway to close), and utilities and such are a nightmare. No industry, no schools, no decent stores, no tourist destinations to bring in fresh commerce.
Realty in Japan is a nightmare outside rural areas as well. Many people buy land, clear the house and build a new one. Others simply move into new houses, and pay a high price for it. Or you can snag a deal with an older home that still supports itself well in case of natural disasters with the plan of rebuilding it in the future (typically, smartest choice). I’m lucky that my SO wants a business home where the business would pay for the home on its own, but most likely building a new home or rebuilding aren’t easy plans to make.
Yo why so harsh, lol. Two words, “Rest Stop”. Place to grab a bite some coffee beverage a little time away from the hustle bustle of the big city. Those olds folks are the eyes and ears of the town also hire them as greeters. buy up a dozen of those places turn it into an affordable B&B rental for families.
The B&B market is booked until april 2022 oahu HI.
Lol, I don’t mean bulldoze the old folks and their houses in one go.
But it’s a depressing sight seeing a bunch of shacks on the side of the highway… pretty much like a ghost town. There might be an old lady selling local seasonal produce on the side of the road, but that’s it.
For the most part too, there’s always towns or whatnot within like an hour drive. It’s hard to go anywhere in Japan and not see a convenience store or rest area within an hour’s drive. But those places have more to do and see. For example, you might go through the mountains and find a ski town that’s pretty much running at half capacity being out of season, but there’s still places open. Or a hot spring village. Or some brewery area. Etc. Between these spots, there’s these random towns that have no purpose but to let old houses rot. Those are the places that should be cleared, IMO.
The old fashiom architecture is awesome to foriegners. That old lady is valuable. In hawaii USA, those roadside stands selling fruit is like a magnet for tourists to pull over in rental cars. rich people in america love what is called a farmers market.
Got an oppertunity to visit japan but was too young to really take in the country and it was by tour group on a charter bus.
Still think releasing hipsters to revitalize depressed areas is the move. Need young people to make it cool again.
I’m not talking about architecture… like literally wooden shacks, paint peeling, and roofs barely staying up. And then an old lady out front of that house selling produce from her garden because she has nothing better to do. Like it’s depressing, sad to see stuff in that state.
You’re actually speaking to a lot of my gripes about Japan’s tourist industry.
Domestic tourism is magnitudes bigger versus foreign tourists. Cool. But that creates a lot of lesser-known areas versus what folks outside of Japan consider tourist spots.
Like 99% of tourists go to the big cities and popular sites. Those are worth seeing, but in recent years the masses of tourists have made travelling like that a nightmare. When I went to Kyoto two years ago, it was just swamped to hell and back–nothing like it was four years before then. But when I started travelling with my girlfriend in the local areas where I lived, or took suggestions from friends, there were some amazing places… that aren’t worth going to for foreign tourists due to distance, language issues, and complications getting there.
I should qualify the company hosted the visit so it wasnt really a tour group. Couldnt really see much from the bullet train but the ride up to mt fuji was awesome.
Ok, so I recently did my taxes and received a 1099k from PayPal for selling items online (here and eBay). In four states at the moment, VA, MD, VT, and I believe MA you receive 1099k on your yearly total of $600 or more sold. So I received a 1099k and filed it as a loss. No problem, move on, right? Nope lol. My county wanted me to file for a business license. I said nope, its not a business. I sell things I no longer use for a loss. They said well if you do it a lot thats a business. I said no, it’s a hobby lol.
So basically if I sell over $600 worth of things via PayPal this year (2021) they’ll send another 1099k and my county said they’ll make me file for a business license in 2021-22. Guess I’ll take on that fight next year and see what happens.
This is just a heads up. It’s coming to more states and PayPal will be an afterthought imo. I’ll no longer use PayPal to sell anything unless it’s family and friends.
Rant over lol
Oh and here’s the kicker. If you sold something and then they ask for a refund and you send them the money back…that’s still on the 1099k. Clown world!
That is a bit bs. But maybe you file as a business, show youre always at a loss and get back more that way. It works for all those billion dollar companies and their CEOs, so im sure itll be fine for you.
Yeah, thought about it but when you have a business license sometimes they throw you in a higher bracket… Happened in another state I lived in. I’ll just stay away from PayPal lol.
One grievance as usual when you are in a humid country is this from me: It’s Goddamn Hot!
please give me so cold air or something to alleviate the unforgiving heat.
