I refuse to give Netflix my money. I would have if it turned out to be good, but the audience/You-Tube reviews speak for themselves.

I have access though a subscription to another service so they’re getting a chunk of that I guess. No way for me to get the service cheaper without…
It wouldn’t surprise me if I didn’t have something like that and just not know it.
I’m used to seeing RT scores where the critics hate it and the audience loves it, so weird to see the reverse.
If you have a critical media that is “paid off”, not in money but in connections and influence, this is generally the result. You get scores that match exactly what the people in charge want them to be.
It was dumb 30 years ago in the video game space where almost any piece of garbage was given 7-9 out of 10, but it is even dumber now that more of the world is connected and fans will just actually tell each other the truth. Maybe they get a million her or there from the general public, but they burn goodwill with the very audience that helped make them in the first place. Really short sighted.

Yeah, I mean I’m old enough to have grown up with He-Man and that show was awful. Have you tried to watch it recently? Not sure why people are getting so bent out of shape about the reboot. I wouldn’t really care if Teela was the main character as long as it was a good story. It couldn’t be worse than the original, anyway.

I watch every ep of fatman beyond. So guess will be up to speed by monday. The voice over cast is interesting.

You’ve already shown how he’s going to spin it with those two articles you shared. As cynical as it is, the same things will be said to the people that don’t like Revelation as was said about the people that didn’t like The Last Jedi.

If you don’t like it you are some sort of sexist/racist/bigot who can’t stand to see “empowered” female characters. And any attempt to defend your position by pointing out the myriad flaws in writing, character development, etc. will fall on deaf ears.

There’s always an agenda. Whether it’s as simple as making money, or the sociopolitical kind, one always exists. I wouldn’t say that it’s ‘liberal vs conservative’, exactly, but it also wouldn’t take much to see it that way either. Because a good chunk of the issues with Revelation stem from how much Kevin Smith lied about the premise of the show. But the other criticisms Drinker pointed to are quite valid. Sorry, I’m trying to watch what I say for now to not talk about plot details in case someone wants to watch it.
