RikudouGoku's Database (IEMs/Earbuds/Headphones Ranking list)

Is this it? I would rather pay the $9 then ship from ali if possible.

Yeah, AN8008 is correct.

You will have you answer tomorrow assuming amazon doesn’t lose this order in their warehouse somewhere.

Nice.

Love it when consumers have graphing setups and multimeters, while most reviewers dont. :joy:

Where are the measure points on an MMCX and 2 pin? I honestly never bothered to learn which pin is ground.

Follow this guide I wrote here lol.

wait… either of the 2 pins… that doesn’t seem quite… really?

I always use the pin I pointed at though.

hahah

Okay, that makes a lot more sense… I knew which “ring” on the jack to connect to, but i didn’t know how they wired the connectors though. I have it bookmarked now.

That guide turned out to be one of the most useful guides I have written lol. :joy:

Okay this hurts my poor brain… ummm Crin’s tone rating doesn’t mean what that person thinks it means at least if I am reading and understanding his comment right.

He is saying (at least the way I read it) that just because a brand has an iem with poor tuning, doesnt mean that you should completely dissmiss that brand entirely. Since pretty much all the brands in Crinacle´s list can have something good and bad.

Okay, well then that I agree with. Unless that tuning is their house sound and they tune everything similarly, but that still is not really exactly what Crin’s tone grade is. It is not just the tuning but the execution of the tuning.

IMO, Crin´s tone grade is very strange to me (and his rankings overall).

Honestly for me I look for something that interests me first and foremost (could be anything from looks to driver config or really anything that catches my attention), then I look for someone I trust to have graphed it, and assuming nothing looks off it goes on my list to pickup.

Occasionally if I see a really good deal (like on the Buy/trade thread) I might just pick something up on impulse, but I have had reasonable luck with my instincts doing that.

Oh almost forgot swaping to the DUW-02s, yinyoo cheap MMCX cable, and the FH3’s stock cable did not make the FD3 sound better (or worse)… The FH3 cable made it feel worse, but that was kinda expected.

When I get the multi meter I will test all the MMCX cables and relisten, but either the FD3 is not really sensitive to resistance changes or none of these cables are different enough to cause any noticable change.

Maybe I should ask [Dsnuts] what cable would be good enough to be different… but I don’t have a head fi account and that might be for the best.

Ah yea that cable ‘connoisseur’. Gotta soak the cables in mineral oil for 20 days and let it dry for 10 for the best performance
