IMO, PEQ couldnt really fix that roll-off. Its a limit of the stiff driver.
I am surprised to hear that, i am sure you are able to notice nuances in the treble which i am not, but give my EQ a try if you find the time. To me the highs are stellar with these settings:
Please ignore my basshead lowshelf
When I tried to fix the upper-treble. I only used a high-shelf filter which should be the best way, and while it did help it. It didnt help nearly as much as the gain I boosted it with (like literally 5-10 db…).
Its definitely a physical limit of the stiff driver. (which is also why the bass is so good, thats kinda the trade off…)
Its funny that to my ears the bass boost also responded really well, i remember you mentioning that yours responded even less than the LZ A6.
Maybe we have slightly different units when it comes to its drivers, or maybe it is about our chains being different? Which stack are you using with the Zen?
Sometimes I wished that the transducer I just got is bad…so that I dont have to be tempted by the rest of the lineup.
Because now I am interested in the Bell-Blue after hearing the LBBS…
I mean, mine is a review unit and Dunu has great QC from what I know.
Doubt it, I am using the Asgard 3.
And when I say stuff responds well to eq, it has to do with how much it affects it and how much the quality degrades.
Some transducers when you apply a high-shelf filter with only 3 db. Makes a big improvement/change, while some, like the Zen barely does anything in comparison. That to me means the Zen does not respond well to EQ.
Makes sense and that is what i was expecting too, i guess i was prepared for the worst and it was not that bad
@Resolution You remember when I told you the Chaconne is better than the Oxygen?
Well, now you can buy the K´s LBBS instead and that is also better than the Oxygen…and its 5x cheaper as well.
(55 usd)
In setember I might hit the bullet and get some Bell-Ti, since the shells are identical
I wouldnt get the Ti series tbh. Way too many bad QC reports on it.
Bell-blue seems like a better candidate.
There was something that threw me off blue bell, but cant remember what
The blue shell certainly looks flashier than the regular ti lol.
Also seems to have a 2.5mm connector (with an included 2.5->3.5mm adapter). But perhaps the store that sells it can ask K to make you a custom one with 4.4mm (like they did for my Samsara and the Bell-WE).
Can you link the blue bell? Cant find it
(it is the store I bought the Samsara and the Bell-WE from.)
Do I want black or blue? Gotta link? Will buy right now.
EDIT: This?
Can I get a balanced connection? Some of the pics show balanced.
LBBS. NOT the LBB.
This one.
No, its only in 3.5mm. The pics you believed are balanced is just a mic version of the LBB.
I hope I got the right one…
You know, I’ve never been disappointed in anything you’ve ever recommended. Anyone who values good/well educated recommendations should jump when @Rikudou_Goku tells them to.
Yep it is, you can see the “bellLBs no mic” which is correct. And the other one with the same black color is cheaper at around 40 usd (bell-LB).
Their model names are quite confusing though.

Thanks for the trust. Your Oxygen´s life is limited now.
