For sure. My ry4s have been there for almost a month

Are you getting a sample/buying? Curious about it.

Havent asked, probably be denied as usual. Not particularly interested in it, since pretty much all planar iems I know are kinda…meh…

That’s why I’m curious, never heard anythign planar. So to avoid planars, right? Prolly better getting 400se or Sundara

In the iem world, I say you should give them a few more years to refine them and know how to tune them. In most cases I have seen, you need EQ to fix it and then it is good.

Although I do have the Tri I3 Pro on the way, which is a DD + Planar + BA tribrid.

Uhh, that might be good. Me likey.

What are they using the planar for? midrange?

Yeah, DD = bass, Planar = mids and BA = treble. On paper that sounds great.

Graph looks great until the treble, which I am not that sure about.

What’s wrong with it? Apart from it not being normalized/smoothed out

The dip at 3-7k might be too much, might end up being too warm/dark. But this is a very unique driver setup that I havent heard before, so I will find out myself when I hear it.

Yeah, just saw that one too. Might need. Some touching with EQ!

Hopefully not, the i3 pro is actually an iem I have waited an entire year for.

Now I’m interested. They seem to be out of stock tho, but not expensive.

Just saw some reviews and the mids and bass are getting praised on. Looking forward for your review (when customs allow it… )

Reviews? Already? Where? They just released it yesterday and just sent out my review unit, dont think anyone can have it that quickly.

I guess you are looking at the original I3, not the I3 Pro.

annnnnnnnd… I’m dumb

And my interest just fell off a cliff.

I take BA treble over planar treble. But we see how it sounds when I get it.

I am just avoiding BA treble period right now. Either DD or EST for treble.

You got PTSD from a bad iem? :joy:

The only IEMs that seem to trigger my sensitivity have all had a BA handling treble and sets that are even hotter in the treble with either DD or EST have been fine

As far as PTSD the KZ zs10 pro nearly got me to quit IEMs forever with that treble.
