Thanks man
np, personally I rarely use spinfits now. I am using the Final Audio Type E for most iems.
yy I saw it in your rating spreadsheet, but I dont really know where to comfortably get them…
Im just in that “waiting for IEMs” phase because of czech customs, so I ll try the original ones and then maybe buy something
I imported them from amazon japan.
You could also get them via the Final E series, where I would recommend the E1000 and the E3000 (possibly the E500 as it got a lot of praise).
wait… buying iems for tips?
hahah, yeah. This is a valid strategy for the E500/E1000. The iem themselves are like 5 extra usd. Or you can think of it as getting the type E tips for only 5 usd lol.
So basically you are telling me to buy cheap iems and give them to someone as a gift with changed tips?
Sounds great
Damn really, grabs a few sets…IT00 = Final E, Andro = EP-EX10A, Z1R = original L, P1 = Spins, Vega = Spins and Spring 1 Final E…I don’t have a go to tbh, probably my least used as of late is my spirals.
That would work as well. But those 2 final iems are actually very good for their price, so it is worth to keep them.
The downside to this strategy though, is that you get only 1 pair of each size, but you do get all their sizes. From SS to LL.
yeah, swapping them between would be a little annoying, but trying them for the first time, it is great to have all sizes
…and its silicones, they can serve you for a long time
You can also use their smallest tip like this:
This is from their F3100 marketing. But it kinda works on the E series as well.
This can be a bonus too as some sets work better with a deeper insert
yeah, of course. They only really lack a huge size option like those azla sedna tips.
well…
I might just buy the Final E1000, take the tips and give the IEMs to THAT piano/violin guy I was talking about yesterday…
They are somewhat mid-forward, arent they?
hmmmm, I dont think he will like it though. They are more neutral personally, but I can see others calling it warm neutral. So tonality lacks a bit brightness for violins.
hmm
That seems to be true…
I guess I ll see what stock tips come with my IEMs, so im gonna postpone this decision…
The main difference between them is not only the small nozzle size difference, the silicone on CP100 appears to be thinner and more transparent. I find it is easier to get a better seal with CP100 because of this. I also prefer the slightly smaller nozzle size. I find CP145 will stretch over time and not be a secure fit for most IEMs. I prefer the CP100, (medium and large for different insertion depths) but I suggest everyone should have complete sets of both. Spinfits are my preferred tips. They usually always will work and completely seal when many other tips will not.
I’m either S and SS or LL and S
Also why are you against foam
that confused the shit out of me
what?
SS or LL?
Foams change the sound a lot from the original tuning, which is usually tuned with silicone tips.
I also dont like them because they take longer to put in your ears. It is especially a problem when I have to compare iems in reviews, as extra time needed will be worse for my sound memory.
Then there is also the disposable aspect. They dont last nearly as long as silicone tips and have to be repurchased again and again, which adds up the cost.
