What differentiates the magneto from the electro ?
I haven’t owned either.
The EST that most people think of is the Sonion EST drivers. They have a separate transformer (not sure if thats the correct term) attached to the driver.
(technically, these are electrets and not true Electrostats, the only real ones in iem form is stuff like the Shure KSE1500.)
MST, aka magnestostats.
(Driver from Earbridge, it is a hybrid between a regular DD and a MST, a “2-in-1” driver.)
Dont have that transformer attached and the driver itself is different.
(MST is also an electret though.)
The ZEX/NRA is most likely based on this earbridge driver, a so called “bellsinged” version of it.

Just started listening to it, had to turn the volume on my Asgard to MAX!!! LOL
If i decide to buy one for me i will need another amp just because of these…

Not many reviews out there but ZAS has been reported to lean on the dark side (see PW review for instance) and I believe it since the bass has even more energy than CCA CSN.
So, probably not shouty at all, but reviews are not exactly glowing. Recessed upper mids (except 2k) and lower treble might help rock & metal though.
Nice. My stock cable didnt even left the box. Box is in the bin

Same, wish they revised the cable and tips, but I guess it’s for keeping the prices cheap.
Tips feel good, but they didn’t seal. I literally just got it, I’ll tip roll later.
Using Final E and DIY Riku’s mod atm with 1/16 foam

Yeah, stock tips are too soft for me to seal.
I don’t do metal, but they bass is tasty. Fast and slammer. You gonna love it

I already have one but it’s 2-pin (not QDC) and that doesn’t cut it for my OCD…
