Which model do you think he was referring to? Based on him description tt sounds like the Grand Rider 1 to me.

Lancer 1 is the one he likes, he did not like the Berserker 1.

Alright, guys. Please go vote in this poll I made.

I voted 3,5mm, because it makes sense for most buds use cases in general in my opinion.
On the other hand there is a case in having the cable balanced (like 2,5mm), as it can go to SE if needed, but not the other way around. Do you need to make this decision standard - could not that be specified on order btw?

No, I just wanted to know if there are a lot of balanced users. Since I could put in a custom order for my cables to be made in balanced but I have to order a LOT at once.

I have two ddhifi adapters going from 2.5mm to 3.5mm and 2.5mm to 4.4mm so I voted 2.5 but 3.5mm is great too!

I voted for 4.4mm balanced - but I’ll be happy not to be teased with cable colours you don’t have next time

I tend to like 3.5mm when I am on the go, so I don’t have to bother with adapters, but I have plenty of 2.5mm cables, and adapters to cover the rest.

Speaking of cables, any fans of these?

I absolutely abhor fabric sheathes on cables for IEMs and earbuds, but I am not everyone.

dig the gold one

Fabric is great as long as it is good quality tight weave. If it is not then it just splits into single fabric threads due to compression or worse due to contact with velcro straps. The one on LBBS is very good example of nice quality

100%
They look good but they are usually microphonic

So weird, I voted for 2.5mm but my officemate couldn’t get his vote done because we are on the same wifi network. But yeah 2.5mm for him as well

Wonder why people want 150/300ohm buds with 3.5mm :grimacing:

You modify Your Earbud measurements? Somehow I find the graph from the review looking more “normal”, almost like a IEM graph. There is a bass shelf, maybe some recessed mids and an ear gain region.

P.S.
Now I remember I had a Audioquest Nighthawk which uses a Foster driver.

Split on the first cable looks very big and kind of cheap.
Second one looks better.
Third cable reminds me of $5 earphones. Basic rubber cable!? Not worthy Your Earphones.

Made the experience in general that 8 or better 16 weave cables are way more flexible than “single core” fabric cables. Like the Tripowin Zonie cable very much, could be a little heavy for earbuds though. Guess the same goes for fabric cables. Your Berserker cable is good (4 weave) but I must admit I was surprised by the Rider cable. How flexible, soft and tangle free it is and it looks special / premium. Probably my favorite.

Horror Story: Was working in Italy for two weeks and had my Rikubuds with me. Came back yesterday but Lufthansa had no workers so my suitcase was not loaded into the connection flight plane. The flight that should bring my suitcase with it this morning got canceled. Fear I have to survive a weekend without Rikubuds, impossible…

Because typical DD drivers in buds are having sensitivity of 105+ dB /mW making it drivable from anything with ease as long as you can provide enough voltage (enough meaning 0,5V) check your Qudelix on the mV that you provide to your IEMs for reference

I will retry my first experience with Lancer 1 once I have time so I can come back to you on this. Apple dongle is 0.5V irrc.
