Nah, but his graph is made in a bad way (no consistencty nor accuracy). He just put the buds to the IEC711 coupler. You need either an iem adapter (like I use) or a fake ear along with it.
Yeah, I am not really too much of a fan of these cables but thought there might be people that like them.
Tell me more? I heard about some android limitations that can be eliminated with UAPP but I thought it was a quality thing like bit rate or sample rate. There is a power limitation?
-40dB would cut down the power to 1/10000. You hook up any USB device to android like a ifi gryphon with 1000mW and you only get out 0.1mW ?? Can’t believe that.
-40dB on a 0.5V output sounds strange too. Then there is no power left.
yeah, I know there is a limitation in android in general when it comes to the OS not being very good for audio, which is why players like UAPP/Neutron bypasses it and uses their own thing.
Just a long shot but going to try my luck. I’m not really an iem guy, but i found an old pair of Klipsch reference x6i iem, and just wow! The tips I think are oval (vs round)and with a good seal it has a musical balanced tuning with great bass (not basshead definitly). It has now peaked my interest in the next step up from it. The actual iem is extremely small and light. Thank you in advance for the hifi guides gang input
If fit is important then you might want to try the Sennheiser ie300 or ie600. It’s small and from what I have read most people find it is very comfortable but there are no guarantees as everyone ear is different. It’s a v shaped tuning and the 600 is better but also more expensive.
Thanks but looking for a mostly neutral profile with a warm musicality. I believe the Klipsch is a single balanced armature driver if that makes a difference.
