I might get some interesting information regarding cables tomorrow. I asked the XINHS store if they could make a custom cable with a copper + pure silver hybrid combo, seems they can and it costs 30 usd. They will send me pictures tomorrow.
I specifically asked for it to be made out of the Single crystal copper and the pure silver cable that both I and @Resolution bought. If it works, it might be the cheapest pure silver + copper hybrid cable out there.
I’d be interested in your thoughts, this is probably the worst IEM I’ve ever tested. I can’t believe someone thinks this treble can be good or normal. It feels like daggers stabbing my ears if you push the volume a bit louder.
So it makes sense to me the people praising this IEM are already modding it, running pink-noise for weeks, etc… at least in its stock form I’d rather listen to Samsung stock iems…
It seems to be controversial from what I know…
But both tgx78 and @IEMusic recommended it to me (I trust them a lot) and especially since I am interested in the UM 3DT. I am planning on buying stuff from the store that sells them anyway…
Well, I only trust my ears. I figured out they like the DQ6 quite a bit but their pairs are modded, so… I’d appreciate a disclaimer because I had a headache after listening to it in its stock form.
yeah I know. It wont be much of an issue if I do dislike it. Since I only want it to hear how a 3dd iem sounds like and If I like it, I might get the 3DT. If not, then I only lost like 22 usd on it instead of the 350 usd with the 3DT.
I already have 3 cheap iem’s coming, but out of curiosity, does anyone know what iem you would choose for portable gaming?
This iem would only be used for gaming and does not need to be good for music. What should my budget be? I’ll be using portable consoles, switch, vita, gameboy etc. I read the ibasso it-01 does a great job at isolation and gaming, but it’s discontinued.
Does something like a moondrop blessing 2 make sense for portable gaming? Fiio fh3? Moondrop Starfield? Should I stick to the sub $50 tier?

But honestly, I really dont like using iems for gaming. If you can use other transducers, I recommend the Koss KSC75.
Ooh I already own the ksc75. Why would you choose it over iem’s?
Much bigger soundstage (it is possible to get similar soundstage in iem, but we are talking about 300 usd iems) and airier sound. I like it more than iems in terms of sound and comfort.

I just personally use the ksc75 since comfort is much better than the hd 560s I got. Otherwise headphones are better than it in terms of sound.

Just curious… why 4 core instead of 8 core? Cost or something else?
Well, I told them I wanted it in a 4 or 8 core setup. Since I wasnt sure if they can make on in 8 core I also told them I was ok with 4 cores.
Usually, 8 core cables are a lot harder to solder. So if the cable is very cheap and still 8 cores, it is likely for it to not have all 8 cores soldered properly. 16 cores and up are definitely not soldered. TRN for example cheated with their cables, like only half of the cores was soldered properly…

well I ordered it (8 core hybrid cable) + 8 core purple cable + 4 core “faaeal” copper + 8 core copper/spc and also got the same hybrid cable but in 4 cores as a gift. This time I ordered with dhl express, if dhl is lightning fast I might get it before the sale ends but probably not very likely.
1 month and I already ordered like 10 cables from them. 
Wallet is drying out before the sale even starts lol.
They will sell the cable to the public as well, so my custom cable is turning into a normal cable. They were quite happy about getting a new product.
