Sony MDR-EX800ST review is up: https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/sony-mdr-ex800st.15096/reviews#item-review-24176

Grade A

NR 2 biggest soundstage I have heard, LZ A6 beats it but very impressive for a single DD and especially for something that is already 8 years old!

I can definitely see why this is considered a very good single DD iem. Cant believe how good it sounds for such an old iem. I was using the sennheiser cx 300 ii, Klipsch S4i and the Xiaomi piston 2 back then ! :joy:

For this next sale I am quite likely to pick up the Tanchjim Oxygen…

For this next sale I am quite likely to pick up the Tanchjim Oxygen…

Given your soso excitement for the KXXS and HANA, I think it’d be a bit redundant. I’ve tried both before sticking with the KXXS and they’re incredibly similar, maybe the Oxygen has an edge for better textured bass, though.

yeah the Oxygen was the contender when I bought the KXXS.

And using eq on the B2 or the Hana might make them very close to the oxygen…

Indeed. When you use the BASE-LINE on crin’s tool they are almost 1:1 too. So just EQing down these peaks should get really close tonality-wise.

Funnily I found that using EQ on the Blessing 2 to simulate the oxygen sounds better than on the hana lol.

Settings:
Low shelf: 200 hz, Q:0.71, gain 2 db

peak eq: 4500 hz, Q: 1.6, gain 2 dB

peak eq: 6850 hz, Q: 2.5, gain -2 dB

peak eq: 8000 hz, Q:2.5, gain -4 dB

peak eq: 13 000 hz, Q:1.1, gain 10.5 dB

peak eq: 17 500hz, Q:3.1 gain -9 dB

preamp: -2 dB

I agree. I’m afraid my KXXX are going to be collecting dust. They are pretty plain and not exciting to listen to, but not bad. They do nothing “offinsive”. I don’t find myself reaching for them. Harman fatigue?

Ears are different, but holy crap do you and the next Reviewer in that thread disagree.

Your final remark:
Cable, Sound, packaging, build quality are all extremely bad at this price. It is a damn rip-off and if it truly is a pure beryllium DD. Then they took gold and turned it into crap. Stay away from this garbage

His final remark:
I think the Periodic Audio Be are one of the greatest bargains in audio at $300. Now I know why Be are the first two letters in Beautiful.

I have not heard them, but I totally agree re the fixed cable; and that alone is for me often a good indicator to stay away. For me it says it is not a serious IEM, they don’t understand what customers in this price bracket want, they think their product can’t be enhanced in any way and they choose a cheap solution to a pricy IEM. (Sony prooves me wrong, but still…)
And if the packaging is crap too, then I am running away screaming…

The packaging it came in was literally a cardboard box…

I suspect that the people that actually likes the BE has almost never heard chi-fi. It is just so bad even if we removed the price tag…adding in the price tag just makes it look ridiculous.

I held back a lot on this sale but here is my loot:

Tanchjim Oxygen
2 NiceHCK LitzPS cables
(dhl expresss)

total cost 250 usd.

Pretty good price I think, the NiceHCK store only charge 30 usd for dhl express while all the other stores (the ones with the oxygen at a cheap price) charge 70 usd!

Dhl express fee was $50 for me (ship from China to US) from NiceHCK

hmmmm is this your first time buying from them?

I have a lot of orders from them (that I paid full or normal sale prices), so maybe I got it cheaper because of that?

Ibasso IT00 review is up: https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/ibasso-it00.24516/reviews#item-review-24207

Grade: A-

I think the IT00 is a good iem at its price, but overhyped. For those that have a similar library to me (hiroyuki Sawano, anime OST, Linkin Park, Trance…) it doesnt suit that kind of music, so its not very versatile.

Waiting for my Tanchjim Oxygen to be shipped out, but once it has it will probably only take a week for me to get it with DHL Express. I am expecting a lot from it, so hopefully I wont be dissapointed. Other than that I dont have anything else coming right now.

The wait for the Moondrop SSP and the Tin Hifi P2 continues :joy:

Time to take a break and enjoy the music.

Ha ha! Right? If you want an IEM suggestion to add to your list that won’t break the bank, I’d take a serious look at the FD1. At only 60 bucks, I’m very impressed with the current one I have. I’d enjoy hearing your reactions.

HIFI Dreams has it ranked very high beating out the FH3 in certain aspects such as soundstage and dynamic slam.

Yeah not interested in it though since I have the FH3. The FH3 made me lose interest in getting more DD/Hybrids lol.

The upcoming Moondrop SSP might be the exception due to low cost, beryllium and waifu lol. (if the tuning is better than the SSR at the least.)

You not tried the Reecho & Peacock Spring?..if you like the IT00 then I’d say the Spring is an IT00 on steroids but still nicely balanced :+1:

Can totally understand that. One and done!

That is a very pretty IEM that I’ve had to force myself not to buy. I just feel I have so many other IEMs that out perform it sonically. I love the look of their bluish cable. Very different.

The sound profile of the IT00 doesnt suit my library that well.

I am interested in the Moondrop SSP, Tin Hifi P2 and the LZ A7 right now.

All of them are upcoming though…
