RikudouGoku's Database (IEMs/Earbuds/Headphones Ranking list)

As for harshness or any peaks, it is most likely depended on where you are sensitive to in the treble, what tips are being used and at what volume.

Thank you, I want to try them on the kbear ks1. It’s a surprising performer.

I found that the FD5 takes a lot of work to get there for me personally.
Even at the end when I got the treble to a level that was acceptable to me, it effectively highlighted how mundane the mids were… The midrange didn’t have the “pop” that I crave and was lacking note contrast - it is a V-shaped IEM after all.

Bass is quite tight yes, but not tight enough for the price. I also think it lacked density.

Then it sounds like we have different iems. Bass is very tight on mine and texture is outstanding.

Review for OH-10 is still WIP, right?

yeah, ETA next week I suppose. Not enough time on the weekdays.

Although I am pretty close to finished with it. It probably wont get that high of a review score due to how shitty the build (weight) and accessories are. And I will most likely put it in the same rank as the FH3 (which will get a demotion from where it is now lol).

FH3 demoted?

S- or A+, probably going to affect some other iems depending on where I place it.

I actually like they have the weight… I find it part of the unique by the OH-10 and accessories I couldn’t care less about. The cable is okay and the rest I change.

For the cost I think you get a lot of value re sound.

The problem with the weight is that it affects comfort a lot. I cant use it for more than an hour, thats a pretty big deal breaker for some I believe.

So…
The cable from XINHS came…
In terms of look, I believe it is quite nice. The feel on the other hand feels a bit plastic-like and stiff, but im gonna use it with headphones anyway, so no problem. Definitely a cable that will last.

I believe it is a 4-core version of this…

Btw. I didnt know where to post this (maybe a XINHS post? @M0N), so here it is.

2021-04-13: YUIN G2A rank C+.

Not really a fan of it to be honest…. way too little bass quantity, recessed mids and too much treble for me. Just get the Koss KSC75 instead, that’s the endgame for ear clips.

As for my KSC75, I removed the parts express headband and put the stock clips back on it. The loss in comfort for the little extra bass (and less airiness/soundstage) wasn’t worth it for me, especially since I am using it as my gaming and voice chat headphone.

Looks like you got the same problem as i did, 1 hour was the maximum i could use it and even when i touched the IEM after 1 hour to remove it i could already feel the pain in my ear’s cartilage. Such a shame, i miss that sound…

Do you think the FH3 would be a nice first IEM (open to suggestions) for someone that only owns a HD58X? I also have a Fiio K5pro.
I am not into the V-shaped sound, the lack of mids is a dead sentence to me (didn’t enjoy the dt770 80ohm bc of this, the treble wasn’t a problem tho)
Even tho i listen mostly to dnb/alternative dnb and songs that circle around dnb.
The 150e price would be my max (that’s the cost of the FH3 in my country).

This is exactly why I skipped it and why I was afraid of wasting my money. Thanks for reassuring my decision.

Personally, when I had them, the weight was fine… but the weight made them fall away from my ears despite the cable and would eventually pop out.

LOVE the shape, but that weight… too bad the OH1s don’t have the same signature.

Thank God for my big ears then

The shape isnt a problem at all though, they do stay in my ears. Just feels like having dumbells on my ears after an hour lol.
