RikudouGoku's Database (IEMs/Earbuds/Headphones Ranking list)

Cant really comment on those headphones since I dont have them. But the FH3 is the opposite of having recessed mids lol. Its an L-shaped iem.

@Rikudou_Goku, have you perhaps tried any 16 or 24 core cables from XINHS?

BTW: Received Sony’s… I’ve made a big mistake, listing said I was about to buy XBA-N3 while on pictures it was N1. So I received N1 today. Which isn’t bad since they have more bass then N3  So far very satisfied, low end is exactly what I was looking for. FH3 hits a bit harder but doesn’t rumble like this beast

I dont have any cable over 8 cores from them, and I dont want them either lol.

Thats a shame that you got the N1 instead, how much did you pay for it? (new or used unit?)

Give us some more feedback on it when you had some more time. It sure looks like a basshead monster since it graphs with more bass than the N3.

I paid 132eur for used, which IMO isn’t bad deal after all.

If you’re interested, I can ship them to you, so you can make proper review on them.
So far I have them like an hour in my ears. Bass rumbles much much more than FH3 and highs are on a verge of being sibilant. I have to give them more proper listening but so far, they’re more fun to listen to than FH3. Mids are definitely more forward on FH3
FH3 is excellent and I really love them but I feel they lack a bit of personality, they lack that bit of fun factor I’m looking for. N1 delivers that, they feel more organic on first impression

I also need to buy and replace cable on N1 since stock cable has microphone and my Apple USB-C dongle refuses to work with it so atm I’m listening from HD out on Macbook Pro

The N1 is selling for 180 usd on accessoryjack for a new unit.

Im not really interested in it since I got the N3 though, but thanks for the offer.

OH, they got 2 left on the N3. Get it asap if anyone wants it…

Im still kind interested in the Acoustune HS1300SS though…

Yeah but I have to add about 30+% to that price because of taxes and customs so they end much pricier.

Do check if it still got the foam in the nozzle.

A lot of sony iems got that, not sure about the N1 though.

You can ask them to underdeclare the package. It might help.

They do, it was first thing I checked.

Not with Slovenian customs, they require invoice (from PayPal etc.) and even with invoice, they still check prices on the internet and bug you if price you paid is significantly lower than price they found on internet.

oh…rip.

Gotta hate being in EU with all these scam fees and total lack of availability…

Yeah, it’s kinda sad looking at all those great items and prices in US. And then you search for some of that here in EU and it just makes you wanna cry, either because of unavailability or exaggerated price.

Indeed… :sob:

2021-04-14: KZ DQ6 rank A-.

It’s been a few years since I got a KZ and WOW, it is a great iem.

Tight, fast and well textured bass that’s fun because of the elevation but is clean because of the tightness and speed.

Mids are recessed giving it a V-shaped sound, but is very natural because of the timbre and tonality (although the tonality is leaning a bit more towards brightness, so some male vocals do need more warmth).

Treble, while it is very airy and the quantity isn’t too much for me, it is a bit unrefined and peaky. Which is the biggest weakness along with the technicalities (except soundstage) where it is actually good for this price, but doesn’t punch much higher (same level as the blon bl-03 (mesh mod)). Soundstage is very big though, probably the biggest soundstage you can get at this price and it definitely can rival stuff in the 100-200 usd range. Timbre is also very good along with coherency.

It is like a mini Fiio FD5 but a bit more recessed mids and more unrefined/peaky treble and technicalities arent in the same league. If you like the DQ6, the upgrade to it would be the FD5.

Wow amazing!! And it costs almost to nothing! Damn you, definitely buying them

I say go for it if you arent super sensitive to treble. Its a cheap way to both see if you can handle the FD5 and also to get a very good iem at the same time. (if you can handle the DQ6, the FD5 shouldnt be a problem since it has a more refined treble and is less peaky to me.)

I am sensitive, FH3 is great regarding treble. But for 20eur, it will be nice to add it in rotation.
Xinhs cables are half of it’s cost lol

Yeah, it’s very cheap indeed.

Only time will tell if kz pulled a “blon 03” or if they will be able to make an upgrade to it.

Regarding FH3 vs N1 comparison… Was listening and comparing them with Fuel - Daniel (Album version).
FH3 is technically superior to N1, it’s much more resolving, you can hear guitar string vibrating where N1 just makes bass out of it. N1 bass goes deeper, it’s almost non-existing on FH3. You can hear it a bit but on N1 I can feel it.

edit 1: Which just confirms my biggest regret with FH3, I just wish it moved air a bit more, so I could feel bass that it produces. All other aspects are really top notch (for my taste).

edit 2: Perhaps that will improve once I get Hidizs S9, so I still have my hopes up for FH3 :slightly_smiling_face:

After the EST 112, I’m on a Dunu kick. Especially after reading up on the company. I want to support them. After reading all about their other IEMs, I’ve made the decision that the Zen is not what I want. The EST 112 is a great IEM, but the treble is pushing my sensitivities.

I ordered an SA6. I want an IEM with relaxed treble to compliment my collection to kick back with and the SA6 looks like it’s going to be a comfortable fit for me. I want the DUW-03 cable and thought giving the SA6 a try would fit a gap in my collection.

I’ll share thoughts once it arrives.

Please do, definitely interested in it myself. But the lack of a DD is concering to me…

Although I have my eyes on the Audiosense DT300 (coming next month), since they proved that they can do BA bass very well in the DT100 (along with superb timbre and tonality).
