It certainly responds a lot better than the A6. But it still isnt as bassy as the OH10, most likely because of the treble/mids affecting the bass indirectly.

Thanks for testing this, the LZ A6 did not take the bass boost well but it was almost there and the rest of its sound signature makes up for it pretty well.

This time around i will slow down before choosing my next IEM, so far i am considering the Mangird Tea or the Dunu EST112.

I think you should wait for the Excalibur and see how that one will perform. Or wait longer and see how the chi-fi world as a whole will respond to the EST112.

You should research some basshead iems like the Empire ears legend X (and the Ikko OH7 looks like it got even more bass than the OH10 lol), since you probably need a basshead iem to be the true upgrade to the OH10.

Do you think which is better for an upgrade from tin t4: seeaudio yume or the thieaudio legacy 4? Btw, anyone got hands on the senheiser ie100 pro, is it a great competitor in the $100 range?

I don’t have any of those unfortunately.

The tanchjim oxygen is my rec for a bright neutral iem though.

Forget about sennheiser, western fi generally can’t keep up with Chi-fi now…

I personally feel like the Legacy 4 is the upgrade from the Tin T4, although they are a bit different (L4 is more V-shaped). I have no hands-on experience with the Yume, but it’s more of a Harman tuning and, according to most reviews I’ve seen, doesn’t have the technical chops to hang with the Legacy 4.
IMO, the Legacy 4 is an upgrade and the Yume is a sidegrade. Which one is the better choice is up to you.

Yep things are evolving so quickly, a few months may make a big difference.

Btw, thank you for bringing the LZ A6 to my attention, there are not a lot of reviewers out there praising it so highly as you did and i am glad i took a chance and got myself one. After many hours listening to the A6 alone i tried switching back to the FH3 during a song i was really enjoying and i was shocked about how bad the FH3’s soundstage, mids and highs sounded in comparison, and i used to love those aspects on the FH3s!
The LZ A6 is an incredible IEM and it changed my perception about what really good audio sounds like.

The Mangird Tea is sub bass focused, but it doesn’t have a lot of bass. The bass responds well to EQ, and it can be a bassy IEM, but I still would not consider it a bass head IEM. It really is a midrange and imaging specialist.

I think a slight upgrade to the T4 is the JVC FDX1/FD01. A substantial upgrade, though with prominent upper mids, is the NF Audio NM2+ (note, the upper mids of the FDX1 actually bother me a lot more than those of the NM2+). I haven’t heard it myself, but I think the Tanchjim Oxygen would be considered a clear upgrade to the T4 as well. The KBEAR Believe is a lot better also, but it has been discontinued,

The Legacy 4 probably would be an upgrade overall, though different, but I have not heard it.

Good to know, honestly after spending some more time with the LZ A6 i think i may not need another IEM at all, the low shelf EQ did not make the same difference it would in other more bassy IEMs but the result was satisfying, specially when it goes together with this crazy wide soundstage and awesome highs. The bass EQ is hard to understand, it feels like no matter how much i push it, only the sub-bass responds, so it ended up having a mind blowing sub-bass because it is super controlled and textured, but it sounds like these are incapable of delivering mid-bass which ends up working super well for its sound signature.

Lets see how it goes, i hope i don’t get the “i want a new IEM itch” any time soon. When the LZ A6 arrived i was underwhelmed, but right now i am in audio heaven with these. I get a feeling they will be hard to upgrade from, i may have to move to another price tier and for that i will need a few months (that is what my wife says anyways)

Yeah consider the yume and L4 because in my country, they are in stock now so i can have i right away. The others you said like oxygen,nm2+ i have to buy online from another country and i had bad experience buying online though :)) so i guess i go with the legacy 4 then. Thanks for your sharing

Thanks a lot for helping. Guess i go with the legacy 4 :))

Another shill review thats completely wrong…

There isnt any elevation here, nor is it warm, nor does it extend low, nor does it have excellent texture…

And also uses an affiliate link without mentioning it…

HeadFi impressions is how I ended up with the cursed ATH-EW9 clip on. Look at it in Crinacle’s graphs lol.

I honestly liked it, but it did make my tinitus worse. Maybe it’s a blessing I broke it. :^)

Oh god…
